I am going with Nishikori in 3.
H2H meetings:
AO 2015: Stan wins 6-3 6-4 7-6
US Open 2014: Kei wins 3-6 7-5 7-6 6-7 6-4
Cincinatti 2012: Stan wins 6-3 6-3
Buenos Aires 2012:Stan wins 6-4 6-2

Interesting one. Stan was untroubled against Big Kev, and looked great from the baseline. Kev served quite poor though, which helped the one sided scoreline.

Nishi started well, terrible in the middle, but finished quite strongly.

Both will have to serve well obviously. I think Stan will come through.

Interesting one this. Looking forward to it could be a cracker if both are on form. Haven't seen much of this tournament so I don't know too much about players form. Have a feeling Nishikori is going through in 3.

Having watched highlights, nishi is playing well but not his top form.

Stan is playing incredible, his highlights reel looked as good as French open final llast year.

Wow if that's true then surely Stan would have the edge. Although he doesn't seem to have played too high a quality of opposition so it can be hard to tell. Should be interesting though hope we have a competitive match with the winner playing Mofils tomorrow and I would be happy whatever happened in this match.

Stanimal in straights...he likes the high bounce these courts are producing.

True if one feeds this, keeping the ball deep and moving him around Nishikori could give him a lot of trouble , Nishikori will have to play inspired tennis to beat the Swiss Shadow of Federer, he has the tools and the only question is how well he will use them, Stanimal forehand is his weakness and fast pace tennis balls kept low are his demise, with extreme eastern backhand grip time is needed to set the ball up, if Nishikori hits early and takes time away this could be a close match.

Stanimal will move past Nadal in ATP ranking, Nadals revenge may catch up sooner rather than later.

Cheers

This Nishi Wawrinka is a hard one to call. US Open is most usable head to head. Odds and betting favor Wawa, but I think Nishi is close to US Open 2014 form. I'm not sure what form wawrinka is in and if he's able to play his peak, peak tennis any more. It was 86F and sunny so courtside temps would have been hot for their US Open QF (fast). Toronto will be 72F and cloudy. Courtside temps might be 30 F less. This is slower and I think more to Wawa's liking. Wawa in 3.

Another enticing match-up between two entertaining players. Gotta love the shotmaking of Stanibod when he's on form.

This looks interesting. Can anyone please give a quick summary of the match so far for me. Thanks.
