The largest purse in the history of touchtennis! The touchtennis US Open is November 14-17 in Port Huron, MI. For all tennis players out there, this is your chance to earn serious ranking points at this slam level event. We have $20,000 total purse available with equal prize money for men and women. The draw will likely be small, giving you a real chance to earn some serious prize money. Not familiar with touchtennis? Tennis players can adapt immediately. touchtennis is a compact court sport using an engineered foam ball and 21" racquets. The speed of ball, length of racquet, and dimension of court are designed to replicate the full court game.

damn that looks like alot of fun! would definitely play this in winter... wish it would replace all the PB courts... that said, touchTennis actually requires skill/technique (though if you hate mini tennis, you'll hate touch tennis :p)

This link will help. touchtennis is not mini tennis and it is not red ball transition. touchtennis is played just like tennis with a few enhancements like 40' court, 4 game sets, no-ad scoring, one serve, and no lets - ever! Check out our youtube channel and instagram and meta. There you will find plenty of fun and hard hitting action.

Dang Pinkleballers (It was a typo but I liked it so left it!) painted their lines all over our our tennis courts. They then proceeded to takeover.

I saw a post a few years ago on Touch Tennis and it looked like a blast so I was going to give this a go with the added benefit that I would have to tape the Touch Tennis Lines on the Tennis Courts where the PBers had painted their lines. With all those lines all over our courts they would look like an airport tarmac and maybe the PBers will find someplace else to play.

I for one encourage the redrawing of lines on pickleball courts to utilize those courts for other sports as well. Paddle tennis (or pop tennis as it is now labeled) particularly can be good for this since you just need a little bit of extra length on the court to play it and like touch really translates well when compared to tennis. The net would be the last issue but the game should still be fun.

When I looked at touchtennis a few years ago, I objectively evaluated the sport. Rashid Ahmad, the founder of touchtennis, needed some assistance in developing the equipment. The ball had to be just right, with the optimal properties of diameter, weight, and bounce. The sport also needed adult 21" racquets, not the junior "afterthoughts" currently on the market. As a lifetime racquet engineer, I was excited about this sport. As an aging tennis player, touchtennis gave me new life. I could hit my hero shots more often without the days of pain following a hearty singles match.

touchtennis is for all players. Young and old. Beginner to expert. It is easier to play and immediately fun. The ball takes spin, allowing for punishing baseline battles as well as underspin sliders and drop shots. Kick serves are very responsive. Spain is using touchtennis to develop players faster because it teaches the virtues of spin.

Most tennis players will have more fun playing touchtennis than tennis. touchtennis supports tennis. touchtennis is an excellent entry to and exit from tennis. touchtennis is a great alternative when you want to play anytime anywhere. Take a kit with you. The touchtennis ball will bounce on any surface.

The touchtennis US Open is a wakeup call to the USA and all the tennis players out there to consider this fun alternative to the great game.

I was going to buy those junior racquets. You are saying that won't work?

Any 21 inch racquet will work. The Goat racquets have a long handle, high quality grip, quality string, and strung at a tighter tension pulling single string at a time. You can take a Goat racquet as is and play at a high level.

Here is a short video of Dominic Thiem playing his brother at a court in Brooklyn. This happened after he lost in the US Open. Dominic is the player with the yellow shirt.
