Rookie
I am going to demo (believe it or not) some racquets VERY soon.

Basically looking at racquets from 90 to 100 square inches, 11.7 to 12.3 ounces, 310-328 swingweight, and 27 inches long.

ie: ANYTHING THAT RESEMBLES MY POG MID OR HYPER PROSTAFF 6.1 :D

Racquets I know that I'm probably going to try are the Yonex RDX-500 Mid, the Volkl Tour 10 V-Engine Mid (although I'm a little intimidated by the 18/20 string pattern and the 48-58 recommended tension), and the Wilson 6.0 Original 95.

Just wanting to know your opinion on whether the Volkl Tour 10 V-Engine Midplus or the Yonex RDX-500 Midplus is the better all court racquet!

Or should I take out one of the three above (500 mid, tour 10 mid, original 95) and try both the Tour 10 VE Midplus and the RDX-500 Midplus?

Thanks.

FORGET THIS POST...I DECIDED THAT I WANTED TO RECEIVE MY DEMOS BY WEDNESDAY SO I WENT AHEAD AND ORDERED THEM ABOUT 15 MINUTES AGO.

I WENT WITH THE VOLKL TOUR 10 V-ENGINE MID, THE VOLKL TOUR 10 V-ENGINE MIDPLUS, THE YONEX RDX-500 MID, AND THE BABOLAT PURE DRIVE TEAM PLUS

I WENT BACK AND READ MY REVIEW OF THE RDX-500 MIDPLUS AND DECIDED THAT THERE WAS NO REASON TO TRY THAT RACQUET OUT AGAIN.

THE VOLKL TOUR 10 VE MIDPLUS SHOWED ME ENOUGH THE LAST TIME I TRIED IT THAT TRYING IT AGAIN (AND THINKING MORE ABOUT HOW IT MIGHT PLAY WITH POLY MAINS AND A DIFFERENT TENSION) WAS WORTH A SHOT.

THE RDX-500 MID SOUNDS VERY SOLID AND A WHOLE DIFFERENT BEAST THAN THE MIDPLUS VERSION.

THE VOLKL TOUR 10 VE MID SOULDS LIKE THE SPECS I COULD BE POSSIBLY LOOKING FOR (DESPITE THE 18/20 STRING PATTERN).

I COULDN'T REALLY FIND A 4TH RACQUET THAT SEEMED TO BE WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR SO I DECIDED TO GO WITH A RACQUET THAT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY...EVEN THOUGH I KNOW IT'S NOT WHAT I'M REALLY LOOKING FOR :D

ps: sorry about the all caps....got to typing in them and was too lazy to go back and re-write everything again.

Ben, I thought the 4th racquet was supposed to be the PS 6.0 95? Are you one of those people that likes to delay gratification? Saving the best for last? :D

Breakpoint,

To be honest, I believe ( :?: I've tried so many right :D ) that I actually tried the ProStaff Original 95 near the end of last year. A buddy of mine played with it up until March or so of this year. I remember comparing a racquet to my ProStaff Original 85 and I'm 99% sure it was the Original 95. I remember it not feeling quiet as "comfortable" as I was hoping to find. Compared to my 85 it was, but compared to others I had pulled out of my closet at the time it wasn't.

mary,

I could but I don't think I the wire would make it to the closest tennis court which is about 3 miles away. Sorry  Would you settle for an extensive review?
