Tour Bite test results on TWU String Database?

Maybe this is a better question for the TW Questions section, but what’s going on their the TB stiffness (1st column) and tension loss % (2nd column) ratings on the TWU String Database? I would have expected a more linear result.

Between 16L and 17, which is the more representative result—relatively softer but with more tension loss, or relatively stiffer with less tension loss?

It is consistent with user feedback.

I have heard TTW members talk about how the "L-gauge" Tour Bite feels noticeably stiffer than their regular gauge counterpart.

Wow, TB20 is insanely soft with stiffness rating of 136.0. It is the softest poly by far according to TWU string database.
I might have to give it a shot in gut/TB20 hybrid. My arm would appreciate a softer poly.

It is the softest after it has lost a half of its tension.

But TB 1.05 is not soft initially? I tried TB 1.20 or 1.25 in full bed a while back and it was very stiff as I recall.

It is soft.

I was just letting you know that the stiffness is measured after the tension loss, which is over 47%.

Oh. I did not know that. Thanks for the info.
TB 1.05 may not be a great fit then for gut/poly as it will lose too much tension too fast.

Just compensate by starting out with higher tension on the poly and then let it sit for a day before playing.

Can confirm. 16L is beastly stiff. The 17 gauge is much, much livelier and tension drops stupid fast. Something in the way that they manufacture 16L makes it stiffer and more resistant to stretching than any other gauge with the exception of 15L.

Source: used Tour Bite 16L and 17 for appx 12 months.

There has been previous discussions and confirms that 16G TB is softer than the L. I've much prefer the L version myself due to the crisper firmer feel.

And it doesn't look like this pattern carried over to TB Soft, right? Here the L version looks pretty proportional to the others.
