Tourna Tuff XL Grip

It’s more durable. Maybe a slightly more felty feel. To be it’s a mix of tourna and Wilson pro slightly. I’m not sure if I love it. But it is definitely lasting longer than tourna original which starts to shred in 30 min for me. No shredding in 1 hr so far

Have the thickness increased at all over the Original XL?

I'll chip in for first impressions.

First Impressions:
-Looks slick on the side with the protection tape, other side looks like normal tourna.
-Wrapping the overgrip was super easy, I think it might be the easiest overgrip I have ever wrapped(very tidy, holds well to tension while keeping shape)
-Feels somewhat "tacky", quite the middle ground with normal tacky overgrips and tourna.

Serve practice:
-"Tacky" feeling remained, but it looks like the grip does absorb my sweat well.

I'm having a hit on Friday potentially and I'll update to this. So far feels good but I'm skeptical if it'll perform when I actually hit/play points. For reference I can only use tourna grip due to sweaty hands.

Had a few hits and can further say. Interesting overgrip, it feels like a cross between something like a yonex supergrap and a reg tourna. Feels tacky when dry and absorbs sweat while having more or less the same tack. I need to try it a little bit more extensively to decide for tennis purposes but I am definitely switching to these for my badminton rackets.

3 hits in and no noticeble difference between the bottom and top part of the overgrip in terms of performance. Honestly though I wouldn't try to consider this an upgrade over regular tourna, it's more so a different overgrip altogether(although I haven't tried flipping the tourna tuff). I would speculate this to be an upgrade over a wilson pro or supergrap, however, since it has that tacky feel for those that don't sweat as much

I agree. It is tacky (although not as tacky as supergrap) when dry but does not feel so when wet/playing. It definitely doesn't have the same feel as the original so if you like that dry felt feel, this would not appease you.

But, most importantly, I could not tell any difference in grip performance between the Tuff and original. But in my tests between Tuff, original, and supergrap. Tuff had the best durability at 8.25hrs, followed by Supergrap at 5.25 hrs, and unsurprisingly original at 2.88 hrs.

Was a loyal fan of the original as it was the only overgrip that could perform with my sweaty palms plus playing in tropical, humid weather. Will be switching to Tuff now since the durability is so much better!

Flipping the overgrip actually makes it feel like a smoother tourna grip, definitely more what I would like for a tennis overgrip, with the durablility being still high. Going to keep using this for the foreseeable future.
