Tournament points from outside of your USTA section for NTRP

I was wondering if somebody knows if you get points in your NTRP section ranking when playing a tournament outside of your USTA section.
For example I am in USTA TX section and I go play an NTRP 4.0 division of a USTA FL tournament. Do I get the points in my USTA TX ranking from the Florida tournament?

It depends on the Section as they make their own rules regarding the NTRP rankings and how they are administered. That said, I doubt any Section grants ranking points for tournaments played outside of their own borders.

I know for sure that the PNW doesn't count any tournaments played outside of the PNW for PNW rankings. This includes age group tournaments as well as NTRP. (I know as I've played both inside and outside the PNW.) What this means is that you could win all 4 of the National Championships in your age group and be #1 in the USA, but still not have a local ranking in your Section... but at that point, would you even care?
