My serve toss is very inconsistent and it takes me like 20 min of tossing / ghost serving to get into rhythm. Does anyone have tips or advice for practicing & warming up their serve toss? I never properly learned how to serve toss when I was younger, so I don't have any muscle memory for consistent tossing. At the same time, I'm trying to unlearn bad habits.
Most of my bad ball tosses are backwards spinning balls caused by the ball rolling off my index and middle finger.
Details of my technique: I'm tossing the ball with my fingertips, 4 fingers, straight arm, release at face level, no prior knee bend.
