I play with a mixed-doubles group on Sunday and we just tear it up, have a great time. Obviously there's plenty of "trash talking" going on, which all of us participate in. But one guy - I'll call him Bernie (actually his name is Bernie) - has an annoying habit of calling the score "for me". I'm very disciplined about calling the score before I serve, after years of playing league. But he loves to loudly call the score for everyone, first and second serves. Like, "second serve, love thirty", just as I'm about to serve. I don't normally announce "second serve", I'm hoping everyone's paying attention the first time I call out the score. I think he does it to get under my skin, because he doesn't tend to do this if he's serving, and behind. Bernie'd never call out "love - 40" on his own serve! Question - is there a rule about your opponent calling the score? And if your opponent calls "second serve" or talks while you're in service motion?
