Trivia:Which player has won more Masters than Grand Slam

I'm sure there are players who have won more Grand slams than masters (Masters 1000 or the earlier ATP masters). Let's list them down

And why such a thing for some players. Grand slams are universally accepted as the toughest to win. Then why some players performed better at slams rather than Masters

All won more Majors than Masters titles. Only players I can think of right now. You could probably look it up easily enough on wiki. I'll have a look.

the last great Player winning more masters than GS was pete sampras who probably skipped quite a few masters (doesn't happen now unless a Player is injured) plus there wasn't a grass masters which was petes best surface (half of his slams were there).

I don't think its that huge a list. You probably covered max of it. And the masters started coming only from 1990

Wawrinka's career is incomprehensible, that's what makes him such a novel star. You shouldn't be able to burst on the top scene like that before winning many Masters.
Murray is a much more predictable player, working his way up through the tennis cursus honorum since 2007, and for this reason he's more trusted by bettors - but also less gushed about.
