Today I saw an article in drudge about how Zambia has passed new law to allow the genocide of thousands of hippos
And they showed pictures of several dead hippos next to these fat, cowards sociopaths with guns .
What a sick sick world
The tiger and rhino pop is just about gone along with elephants , giraffes and lions and apes
Most due to fake Asian medicine

Seeing these corpulent psychopaths when I woke up smiling next to the dead hippo made me furious

These impotent psychopaths with zero backbone
What kind of a piece of garbage can kill a beautiful creature like that ???

Thousands? Do you know why they are allowed it? Are there too many?

I'm not justifying it, I'm trying to understand why.

I was listening to Joe Rogan and he's a big hunter. He is an "ethical" hunter and was explaining that he hunts beer and it's ok to do in certain areas because otherwise their population would spread.

Is there such a thing as "ethical" hunting?!

Ehat infuriates me even more is that their argument is that they’re helping to save those rare species by bringing in money. How does that make sense? Good for nothing twats.
Saw an article the other day where one of these nonces was given 100k for killing a rare mountain goat. Despicable. Absolutely vile human

That was in Pakistan. Another corrupt country where women are dying from abuse dailly. But of course, «animal friendly» folks get more emotional about a goat killing.

It seems to me the issue with trophy hunting is regarding the legality of it.
There’s definitely something wrong that aspects like that are ignored. Media has a huge part to play in that. Seems like they’re more obsessed with having gingerbread persons than looking across to countries that aren’t as developed as ours, and helping the persecuted communities there.

The locals there probably done most of the hunting of these animals anyway. Thats how it is in Africa as well.

Media knows that we get soft hearted of a killing of one single animal than all the horror that actually happens there.

And this thread as well shows how easily we are buying it and starting to care about microscopic things that happens, compared to the full picture.

Next thing we know some PETA celeb crying on TV because of a killing of a single animal.

What a world.

one month you post about how great it is to hang out with mobster (i.e. sociopath) friends, the next month you're complaining about lesser "sociopaths." Are we supposed to conclude here that you're such a highly moral person??

These creatures of god won’t exist soon by the vermin who hunt them for fun or to sell their body parts

It’s immoral and deranged

Yes, when you eat it.

Other would be culling for population control in enclosed environments (game park). It's really the last option, when you can not relocate the excessive species.

This is correct. The rhino is going extinct due to poaching. In Kruger Park, there is literally a war going between poachers and park rangers. We actually have heard the gun shots in the night and seen a shot car in a ditch, next morning. The rangers are loosing the battle as the area is so huge. They told me they would literally need the national army to get involved to secure the borders to Mozambique, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. Two years ago they were worried the rhino would be gone within few years :(

Be careful before you go Biblical, it says there the men were given the lordship over animals...
Which still doesn't mean I support killing for fun. If you killed it, you have to eat it or use it for something.

And over everything else. That is why this group denies climate change or any proof of environmental degradation. This is the problem with fundamentalism. When these ideas were written, there were few people and most of the time basic survival was an issue, so men were told it was OK to hunt animals for food and cut down trees for building dwellings. Now it plays right into the hands of the oil and coal companies.

If it wasn’t for WWF animals in India and Africa would maybe been estinguished already. Is so wrong to blame the west for what has happened.

The British in India and Africa were notorious for hunting too, along with the local kings. It was only after independence that India was able to ban hunting. Plenty of ivory from India went to England.

WWF had to educate the locals so the Bengal tiger didn’t die out. The west been much more aware of this in newer times, but the less developed countries been later in so many areas.

Meh. I have lived in an outdoor family all my life, hutning and fishing and enjoying the world very few see and are part of. I am more concerned about the comfort people take in removing themselves from the rela world and suckling of corporate/government provided guides for approved meats, fillers, by-products, substitutes, and checmical concotions. They do more to feed themselves and feed coroproate/governement greed than any hunter ever has.

But yeah...those pesky outdoor folks.

I don't think the "Prince" of Wales was lacking in nutrition and tiger meat was prescribed by him.

Good deflection to point to some irrelevant set of problems while trying to justify something else.

India and Russia have taken safe guards to protect the tigers
More tigers in Texas than the wild

Trophy hunters should be tied to a pole and rammed by rhinos.

Or send them to North Sentinel island where the real trophy hunters live.

Here in Australia they should punish tree loggers. Koalas are in danger of extinction because of these loggers.
