Trouble String A POG OS On SP Swing Please Help.

Just get the Sp Swing a few days ago and I am having trouble string my POG OS? When I try to pull tension on the first Main, where the string is coming out of the throat, the angle keep pulling the racquet hand towards the gripper and I have to continuously push the racquet away to be able to get the tension to rise. Second the clamp keeps poping off when trying to tension this string. Is the anyway to make sure both clamps are tighten to the same level? Please help me, I've strung the racquet at least 100 before on and old stringer that had a linear gripper. But the was 10 years ago, I don't know why I am having so much trouble. PLEASE HELP, is it me or the machine?

yeah i've noticed that when you tighten a string near the middle of the throat, the handle of the racket tends to be in the way of the bar...i just push it over a little until that string is tensioned and it is fine for the rest of the stringjob for me.

as for the clamps....give SP a call and see what they can do to help you. they're supposed to have excellent customer service from what i've read on the boards.

Thanks
Do you think this happens on other drop weight machines , or is it exclusive to the Swing?

Use the brake to keep the racquet in a position that won't make it interfere with the dropweight.

I was thinking of trying but I was worried that this would to much stress on the frame. Have you done this sucessfully?

that is one of the purposes of the brake. it will not harm the frame.

you may want to up your tension a couple pounds to offset the added friction due to a non straight pull thru the grommet for the first couple of pulls.

OK,
I was just curious because in the manual the comes with the Swing its states that the brake shound not be used when tensioning, and I emailed Silent Partner and they said that the brake should only be used when transporting the machine, and also tieoff knots, so I am still a little unshure. I don't know why I am having such a problem with this.

Is there something unique about the POG that causes this to happen or did you just notice the problem with it? I'm concerned because I'm lookin into gettin a machine and I use POGs.

im pretty sure it happens w/ all the rackets.

Yes, I would think it would happen on all racquets> I strand another POg on it last night and had same problem, I think the rotational gripper is just a little to close to the machine and the racquet handle will always interfere when pulling tension on the first few many strings from the throat. Also since the middle post is so close to the string bed when tensioning the first few mains, it makes it difficult to clamp becuase the clamps are pushed against that middle post when tension these first few mains. I don't know how to get around this, I am still a little hesitent to use the brake , not knowing if this would damage the frame.
