This question is directed to Troy, though others are more than welcome to chip in.

I was perusing old posts on the MG radical and saw that at one point in time you were using a customized MG radical. Turns out that the specs I've been working on (12.0 oz, 5.5 HL, 338 SW) are fairly similar to yours, though I haven't tinkered with CAP grommets yet. I digress... What string setup(s) did you enjoy the most with that frame? I've tried a few different strings and varied tension - have had some good results, but nothing that's really stood out. Thoughts?

When I was playing that racquet consistently, I typically strung it between 43-47 lbs, depending on the stiffness and or power level of the poly. My favorite set-ups were Luxilon 4G 16L(1.25mm) @ 45lbs, Volkl Cyclone 17(1.25mm) @ 47lbs, and Solinco Tour Bite 16L(1.25mm) @ 43lbs. I enjoyed the overall feel of 4G the most. The Cyclone had good spin and power, and the Tour Bite had good spin as well, but is super low-powered for max control. I do recall hitting a natural gut main/poly cross hybrid in that racquet a long while ago, that was strung near 50 lbs. This hybrid felt amazing in all aspects, but unfortunately, I don't use gut hybrids very often because of cost and availability. Keep in mind that I do string my poly strings lower than the average bear; finding that I can get a better ball pocket without sacrificing control.

    Hope this helps,
    Troy, TW
