TRU PRO Ghostwire

yes it should but prob won't last as long with thinner gauge as well as tension loss might be faster
OK thanks! Restring Zero 1.28 lasted 9-10hr but started hurting an hour before it snapped. Looking to soften up and I don't mind earlier breakage as long as there is 4-6hrs of playability.

Would you string thinner gauge higher or lower in tension?

you mentioned hurting...so thinner may help and also consider lower tension. but for me when I go thinner, I often go up. but that was for me.

Seems like most people have been using GW as a cross, but want to know people's take on it as a main? Thinking about 18g GW in the mains and 17g OGSM or other syn gut in the crosses...

I know this is from a while ago but this is what Ive been doing - GW117 / Wilson SG 125. Lasts ~17 days for a UTR 4 junior. Planning to try FB GW 1.10 next

Has anyone tried Lynx Tour (mains) / Ghost Wire (cross) hybrid before? How does it play and how long do the strings last?

I have played 1.25 LT Champagne/1.22 GW in a 16x19 Blade and it plays very well. Good control, feel and spin. Not the most powerful setup, but not dead either. Also LT can be a little on the firm side and GW softens it up a bit.

I usually play 1.28 Pure Rush/1.22 GW and have no issues going between the two. Solid setups for my frame.

Regarding durability, that is hard to answer as it is very frame and player dependent. I get about 6 hours out of my PR/GW hybrid and found LT/GW to be about the same.

Thanks for your input, very helpful. I am playing with the PR/GW hybrid in my Blade v9 100 and I like it a lot. However, I do find that after 8 hours or so, the tension begins to fall off and the ball goes longer than usual. Looking forward to try the LT/GW hybrid to see whether it retains tension and playability longer than my current setup.

I don’t know how much longer the LT will last versus the PR as it was basically the same for me, but you may get a little extra life out of it. It will play a little more controlled and a little less power than PR so that may help you In the later hours of it’s life. Also note, the PR hybrid always plays great off of the stringer but the LT hybrid has a little bit of a break-in. It plays firm for the first 20 minutes or so then settles nicely.

Hi, I played recently with LT 1.25 silver with GW 1.22.
Definitely felt softer but not the greatest snapback or spin compared to full bed of LT, IME GW softens up the mains but in some cases thats all, in terms of durability I got 6 hours out of this before it breaks with mild tension drop and after the string settle is a good combo.
