G.O.A.T.
This is a really great, underrated string. It's my current favorite. I'm playing with it (17 g) in my Head Graphene 360 Extreme MP, full bed at around 48 lbs. My favorite poly has been Hyper G 16.

It's really nice in all aspects. Great control and power, good spin. Not as much bite as Hyper-G, but more control and lower launch angle.

And it's cheap and lasts a while.

Great string! I think I'll stick with it.

I went and did the survey and they sent me the T1 Firewire 17g. I went and strung it on my Yonex Vcore 95D at 52 pounds. So far really good ball pocketing and comfort. I played with it tonight and felt that overall I like the comfort and feel. I would probably like to try the 16g version, but I am one step closer to getting a reel of 17g just because of how it performed tonight. Will get back to tension maintenance after my match on Sat.

I did the survey and was sent a set of Firewire Boost. My go-to string is Tourna BH Silver 7 Tour. The Firewire Boost feels very similar to Hyper-G that I recently tested. Bite on the ball is similar, power levels are similar, launch angles are similar. Firewire Boost is a bit more comfortable hitting on both the sweetspot and when missing the sweetspot. However, it's also less crisp and feels like there's a lot more internal dampening of the impact. That more muted response feels like it is coming from the cross string.

I've got about four or five hours of hitting with it so far. Tension maintenance is better than average, and sensitivity to tension changes seems minor. There's some notching and wearing of the mains but it looks like it will last 10-12 hours before notching through.

Compared to my go-to string, Tourna Silver 7 Tour, Firewire Boost is lower powered, less crisp, and just slightly less comfortable. Tension maintenance feels about the same, and the Tourna may last a couple to a few hours longer from a pure durability standpoint. The S7T has consistent playability until just before it breaks and I haven't gotten to that point yet with the Firewire Boost.

So overall a good string that is a great alternative to Hyper-G for anyone that likes Hyper-G but wants a bit more comfort. The Firewire Boost cross string seems to be the primary culprit in it feeling so muted, so a crisper substitute may make the stringbed feel more lively. I think that anyone who switches from Hyper-G to Firewire Boost will have no issues with the transition.

Wonderful exposition.

The ghostwire is of course white, so that means it has titanium dioxide (like all white strings) in its admixture. This is the same additive that is on tennis line paint and chalk. This is why you get line bounces that slide and stay low! Sorry.

Anyway, the white crosses are nice for main string movement but they do kindof deaden the feel.

Ive been trying some "silicone infused oil" poly strings and think they may be even better as a cross than the TiO2 stuff.

Just my 2 cents.

I like the idea of crosses like Ghostwire, and I think it's great at what it's intended to do, but I don't like the mushier feel that softer crosses give. This goes for other strings too. I did Hyper-G/Origin for a while. It performs very well, it is comfortable, but I just dno't like the feel. I can put up with it for the results and comfort, but the feel isn't great. I much prefer a crisper full poly bed. But that's just a personal preference.

I think Ghostwire is great for people who like that.

Also, on the topic of color, I love their black strings. Looks way better than red or the Hyper-G green.

Still loving this as a main with Firewire crosses. IN 17 G I'm about ready for a restring, when I'll try 16 G.

I like it because it has a great balance of power, deadness, feel, spin, and grippy sidespin.
