TRU PRO

I tried doing a PR 17/GW 17 hybrid and have about 8 hours-ish with it. For anyone using the hybrid, how long has it lasted for you?

I feel like it started to get harder to produce the spin and control I wanted after maybe 5 hours. Tonight I checked the snapback and it was pretty loose. I usually have my strings at 52 lbs. I think this happened simarly with full bed of PR for me. Played so great initially, and I absolutely loved it. But then it tailed off when I hit about 8 hours and it was too hard to control. For comparison, I've had a full bed of Toro Toro in my back up racquet with probably about 12 hours of use but I still get a lot more spin and control than with the PR/GW setup now or full bed of PR. Comfort is still OK though. 8 hours isn't horrible, but I was hoping hybriding PR/GW would get me a just a little more mileage and last as long as my back up racquet.

probably about 8-10 hrs for 18g PR/18g GW. So you are right around that mark.

Would anybody be able to compare lux supreme with triumph and how they compare with other multi strings? Sent an email to tru pro last week and never heard back from them.

Pure rush vs black knight? And how would they compare to hyper g?
Pure Rush is a so much better hyper G in terms of feel, power , and control if you swing fast. I feel pure Rush is a Hyper G on steroids.

Black Knight is stiffer , lower power and less forgiving. Good control string with pop if your technique is clean.

Good options, but I would choose Pure Rush, more versatility on playing with it.
Hope that helps!

Ive been putting Pure rush 18 as my crosses recently with otoro 123 for my mains, at 45/49# and its been amazing

Similar experience for me (similar setup, PR 1.23/GW 1.17). I love how it plays for the first 4 hours, but around the 5th hour mark it starts to get loose and baggy for me, control is gone, shots become erratic. The comfort is still there and then I usually break the strings after 6-7 hours.

In comparison, Hyper G (1.20) lasts 8-9 hours for me and it more less keeps the characteristics throughout its life span. I like it less than Pure Rush in the first 4 hours.

I will now be trying O-toro, hopefully it will also be better than Hyper G and it performs well for at least 6 hours.

I tried O-Toro green when it came out and thought a full bed of Pure Rush felt more satisfying. I am also going to try O-Toro again, and later O-Toro Spin. When I first tried it, O-Toro felt boardy in the first hour or so whereas Pure Rush was ready to go from the start. I and my hitting partners thought the spin on O-Toro was massive. It felt like I had a the spin potential of a Pure Aero with my Pro Staff . I thought O-Toro lasted about 10 hours-ish before it started to lose control, but spin was still pretty good. Just my two cents. Now that Pure Rush 1.23 is back in stock though, I will likely be getting a reel of it after I try the O-Toros unless one of them surprises me. I'll just know now to restring it around 8 hours.
