Trying to choose between some Babolats...

I currently have a Pure Drive from 2 years ago, and was looking at the Pure Drive GT, Pure Drive Roddick GT (which is slightly heavier), and the Aero Pure Drive GT. They say that if you can handle a heavier racquet then go with it, and I know I've gotten tremendously stronger over the past 2 years. Obviously it would be difficult at first to switch to a heavier racquet, but is it worth getting used to? What are the benefits? And with the Nadal racquet, that would just be me getting used to a totally new style, which people don't recommend against. So should I go with a heavier racquet or stick with the regular one? And one last question: the Plus models are .5 inches longer, what type of difference would that make (just a little heavier right?), is that worth switching up to (if I went from 2.0 to 3.5 from 2 years ago to now)?

FedEx,
I've had many of the same questions, so I was looking forward to some replies. Specifically the difference in the PDGT and the Roddick PDGT. Does .6 ounces make that big of a difference? Hope you get some feedback.

Best advice: Demo all of them and see, peoples opinions will be different rackets based on preferences and playing styles.

Plus versions will give you added pop on serves/overheads...MAY lack maneuverability at the net but that depends on the person. I would just stick with the standard length just so its one less component to get use to.

In short I think it comes to endurance. If you can play 3 sets of quality tennis with the Roddick and more then .6 oz and the extra swing weight is no problem.

I've got the Pure Storm Tour Plus which is the heaviest stick I've ever used. My first few 3 setters my arm felt numb. After playing a few more 3 setters, my arm has developed the strength to handle it now.

Yes. One does want to keep development and building strength in mind. However, one does not want to choose a weight/swingweight that they will not have the chance to adjust to and build up to and windup degrading one's playing.

Totally agree. Even though my arm was getting tired, I knew that I would eventually be able to handle it.
