Don’t think he was. In the highlight video you can hear the commentators mention something about using different strings. Pretty sure it’s 4g in mains and natural gut in crosses. It's hard to see but against Paire he looked to be in a full bed of 4g.
All their posts have vanished.Oh the virgin who lives in his mommas basement is back!
You don't know Pete. He had someone else pay for the string.BUT, maybe Pete payed out of principle........he was making millions.
it's a safe betHard to tell. Is it full bed of 4g?
I thinkn, 4g 1,25 mains / 4g 1,20 crossesThe gauges looked different, and the commentator on Tennis TV (Gilles Müller) said Tsitsi changed his setup, racket and strings. That made me doubt.
Looks like 4g/gut hybrid
One string seems to look like a different color just can't quite tell which one. What about in Miami?
Nishikori and DolgopolovWho’s career has been ruined by 4G?
He’s done. He won’t be back in the top 10. Probably hang around the Top 50Don't know what Thiem is using but his career is rapidly going down the toilet
4G destroyed Nishikori's career in tennisOne can safely assume he believes his elbow issues arise from using 4g, which is probably correct.
what string is that ??
Back to full yellow strings (4G soft maybe?)
Yeah. Saw he was back to full bed 4g
*unlearnFull bed of 4g again? This kid will never learn...
He wasn’t gettin the results with other setups. It’s really hard to switch for those who have used the same setup for years.Full bed of 4g again? This kid will never learn...
While I have changed rackets (too much), I have remained with pretty much the same set up for a long time and agree with your post. I also heard from a reputable source that poly has the same effect on pros it does on Joes. They just take longer because their technique is so much better. Speaking strictly about full poly here, hybrids seem to alleviate the effect of poly.He wasn’t gettin the results with other setups. I doubt any of us have ever had the same racket with same string plus identical specs (latter being most difficult) for over 8+ years. He literally knows how every shot should feel and land.
I used to think he was dumb for sticking to 4G. Now I suspect he’s living with the pain for the results. It probably can’t get worse. He’s likely getting treatment and doing PT to minimize the damage. Who knows.
They also have a team to treat them after every match. I bet he has a specific treatment for his arm after every time he plays. While I have changed rackets (too much), I have remained with pretty much the same set up for a long time and agree with your post. I think that says it all. They also have a team to treat them after every match. I bet he has a specific treatment for his arm after every time he plays.
As the players have said at press conferences, they go through a couple hours of treatment after each match.
