Tsitsipas Blacked out racket!

Poor widdle cwy baby can’t handle an underarm  It’s pro tennis ffs!
On that note however, when Nic da Dic fakes an underarm serve just before serving a regular overarm serve, that is clearly a baulk as per the rules of tennis and should be called by the umpire - if they weren’t so incompetent.

Meds, Tsitsipas and Moutet Big3 clowns on the Circus de SoILL ATP tour.
backups like Norrie, Monfils, Altmaier and Kyrgios to fuel them is priceless
Zev was trying out as a gatekeeper for the big tent as well when he lost
to Fils and whinged about an under arm serve as disrespectful LOL these
Entitled gens are great comical relief, better than Adam Sandler epics.

Is that our friend tennisnerd spotted with Tsistipas in Athens during Davis Cup practice?

Well, what makes it all the more humorous is that tennisnerd's "knowledge" about racquets and pro player sticks has mostly just been lifted from this forum.
But we also have to consider that Jonas has probable had the chance to try more racquets than any of us can ever hope to. So if he was just being asked to say what the difference is between "A" & "B", then yeah I get it. Add to that he has a pretty good idea on customization etc, as least as much as many a pro shop. So from the perspective of comparative knowledge the more to get his input actually makes some sense. To me he is there as a walking racquet database

:D you are kidding right? There are many people who know everything about rackets and help pros with rackets, customizations etc. And for sure wannabe Youtuber is not one of them.

He is not that high level player to draw conclusions and advise a pro.

It’s hilarious but also makes sense. Not every team has someonr with thousands of hour’s scrolling talk tennis and spying every other players’ equipment. It’s clearly a very low hanging edge over other players. And what’s there to lose anyway

This is demonstrably false. He mostly pulls his information from rackets he's bought or demoed and from tournament stringers or friends in the industry. Sometimes he has pulled information from here but to say "mostly" from here is either sarcasm or inflating the worth of speculation here.

And given he's tested more gear than the average (if not all) user here and likely any coach, I don't get why there is people here dissing him for being a "YouTuber." As if that somehow lessens his knowledge and quality advice.

Yeah really? The same day someone posts here specs of any pro they appear magically on his page :D

Yeah, he did rip information for a long time as if he were an insider before he finally started [sometimes] giving posters credit.
I don't recall watching a single video or post where he acted as an insider instead of giving credit to a post here.

But maybe you have a clear example you want to link here?

I guess it's impossible to please everyone online. Jonas seems like the nicest guy and you'd think fellow gear nerds here would find it cool to see him rise to this level.

Then you must be a johnny come lately and not have been seeing his stuff back in the day.
He never claimed to be an insider but it was the obvious conclusion he was leading.

Personally, doesn't bother me one way or the other, honestly it's commendable what he's done for himself.
But a bit ironic, nonetheless.

I'm sure he's a lovely guy, I don't have a problem with him, and quite frankly I'm sure that at this point his gear/string/racquet knowledge is above average. It's just really, really, really funny because all that being said he'd still be right around the bottom of the barrel in terms of knowledge and capabilities when it comes to making gear adjustments for a professional player AND who that player has available to them to help with these things. This would be like Stef hiring one of those Instagram coaches to help him get back into the Top 20, which...you know what, actually that might happen and it would be SO funny.

Bottom of the barrel compared to who? All of the racket customizers out there started exactly as he did (i.e., self-taught). There isn't some credentials or schooling that one could go to. So again, why do you assume or on what basis do you assume he's bottom of the barrel?

Also, we do not know why he was with Tsitsipas. Everyone is assuming he provided some guidance, but for all we know, he was out there to help Petros (who was just on his podcast) or just as a friend.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about, sorry: these guys have access to full on pro rooms with their sponsor companies with professional racquet technicians, and if they need to go beyond that there are a variety of services out there run by absolute experts. Like I said Jonas seems like a nice guy but if you think that a YouTuber is the same as say, Roman Prokes (or any of the dozens of racquet technicians that you've never heard of but have worked on your favourite players' racquet for years) then you are absolutely out of your mind.

If they're friends or he's just there for a laugh, then hey that's great, more power to him, but again if Stef needs some racquet advice he's got access to at least 100 people who are better suited to help him.

EDIT: Jonas, is that you?

Getting a YouTuber to help you with your gear is so desperate it's actually hilarious.
Can you imagine how limited his Dad or anyone around Stef is when it comes to basic equipment and tuning?

Not one coach even the Poo was able to at least fix that amateur almost falling over to his left service motion.
Greek Dude has achieved more than expected considering the limited help even from his Mentor Frog Coach

?
Tsitsipas_Mouratoglou_web.jpg

could not help Stef with anything for his tennis. It is no wonder Stef is so grumpy considering his uphill battles.

Dad would be no different donning a face nappy when it comes to advice

Fortune 500 companies don't hire their CEOs out of college or line managers from McDonalds because they don't have the requisite experience.

We aren't attacking t-nerd (or you), we just find it commical because there are so many more established folks out there, Roman Prokes, P1, unstrung customs, even those Ring/Roll guys, who have vast experience working with Pro's.
Even Wilson's own Pro Room, I mean they develop racquets for players.

to be fair with this analogy, tennisnerd isn’t stefanos head coach or manager, but plenty of fortune 500 companies hire one of the C-Suite’s lazy kid for a job they don’t deserve.

he probably just enjoys hanging with the dude, and trusts him enough with his equipment to get a little help on the side. who knows though, maybe more pros will start working with jonas.

Please define cooked for an athlete that won an ATP 500 6 months ago.
He's lost in the first or second round of every tournament (except 1?) since that title. His former coach said he's really out of shape. And him and/or his team admitted he has back issues that are severely affecting him.

Trust me, I'm a Tsitispas fan but everything is point in the wrong direction right now. Including his on court antics.
