Tsitsipas could get to #3 in the world post-RG

To start with, it's highly unlikely that ANY of this will happen, but...

Nadal losing in the SF (or earlier) AND
Tsitipas winning RG2021

Results in: Tsitsipas 8,780 ATP points, Nadal 8,630 points, Thiem 7,425 points

Well, it's not the most outlandish prediction. Not likely by any means, but I think if Djokovic beats Nadal then Tsitsipas-Djokovic will be a fairly even match.

4% chance of happening, maybe, if Tsitsipas makes the final. 10% that Djokovic beats Nadal, 40% Tsitsipas beats Djokovic.

It's not really a prediction. Just a permutation of one potential result of this tournament, one I do think is fairly outlandish (anything that isn't title #14 is pretty outlandish), but ya never know...

In a similar scenario that is probably more outlandish, Zverev can tie Nadal in ATP points with the exact same set of results to Tsitsipas. The one difference is, a tie with Nadal will not result in Zverev getting to #3, he'll be #4 I'm pretty certain, due to the amount of tournaments he plays. But both could (in theory) be at 8,630 points at the end of the tournament.

He or Zverev has to make the final to pass Thiem and be #4? That seems preferable for Wimbledon given Thiem’s poor form lately - his being a top 4 seed there would be strange.

Meanwhile Medvedev can be #1 if he wins, makes the final and Novak doesn’t, makes semis and Novak doesn’t?

And of course when pigs fly I’ll be a monkey’s uncle.

A Tsitsipas SF would result in him claiming #4 from Thiem also. He'd be at 7,500 ATP points to Thiem's 7,425.

I would say it's 45% Djokovic beating Nadal (Nadal is 55-45 vs Djokovic).
Djokovic vs Titspas - I would say 70-30 for Novak. Simply because Titspas has never beaten Novak in a slam and even lost in Rome.

Nah, if Djokovic really beats Nadal, then I’m convinced a final against Tsitsipas would be as easy as the AO final against Medvedev.

But I think in reality none of those two will reach the final.

its no hard prediction, as he is the No1 Player to finally overcome the Big 3 ... if he plays like he is playing at the moment, i think he will be the No1 in a few years.
