It was so cool when I heard that Djokovic would be participating in the Laver Cup. I was so excited :love:. Team Europe prevailed despite his bad showing and loss to Kevin Anderson. Why did he hit Federer in the buttocks? I still don't understand that.

Tsitsipas and Nole are very similar as far as their open mindedness and willingness to explore the depths of human existence. Such deep souls should be cherished in our sport.

Pretty harmless stuff really. Tennis kids often get pushed into the sport and the singles side of it and have to suffer all the downsides of that and then thrive on the team aspects, like college tennis, or like these events where they get to experience team spirit and have a lot more fun. These men's team events will eventually be the main tennis events, imo, especially once slam tennis is reduced to three sets and loses its distinctiveness and the slam records get so inflated no one can possibly catch them up.

I wouldn't put too much into that statement. I have no doubt Tsitsipas (and every player) loves the atmosphere of the Laver Cup. But I think we've seen enough proof over the last couple years that Tsitsipas is a competitor. He knows that Slams are where it's at.

I'm sure Nadal would say he loves playing DC more than standard ATP events (correct me if he's said otherwise). Doesn't mean he doesn't care about RG and Wimbledon.
