TT 100P Appreciation Thread

@berkyboy - I don't know... I've hit likely my fastest and most lethal flat bombs ever with the TT100 and TT100P. The head-lightness and 66RA (which plays more like a 67-68) just allow for Pure Drive level crushing power, but with more leverage/maneuverability applied, and tighter degrees of control with the 100P. I see my opponents having all kinds of issues with the serves coming of the 100P. What more does the EZ98 give you?
I don't have flat bombs cause of my torn rotator not healing correctly...I have 2 heavy slice serves. Ezones give me the most pinpoint heavy slice serves...I hold my serve more with ezones and the movement gets opponents frustrated, which in turn messes with rest of their game

I actually stopped using the 100P (2019), and went back to a blade 16x19. The 100P felt a little hollow, had a little buzzing sound when bouncing the ball and I started to have slight arm soreness (not quite golfer elbow, but almost). I string decently low at 20-22kg with Solinco Outlast, Tier One BK, Hyper-G or Prince XP. It really was a shame, because I think the 100P is a close to perfect frame, playability-wise. My soreness might have come from the frame, but I think my technique was also at fault. I worked a lot on my mechanics with the Blade, and never sold my 100Ps, so took them out recently to see how they felt. I do prefer my Blades now. They just feel more solid and I feel more precise in what I want to achieve with the ball. Only downside is the grip; the 100P had a perfect grip, felt so right in hand. The Blade is just ok, but everything else is addicting

@krautfox - You might want to give the current ATS Tour 100P (white and black) a try then. It has a lower 62RA and noticeably better comfort, but by all accounts I've seen, Prince retained almost identical playability, save for perhaps a smidgeon of power.

@Trip it's on my to-do list once I can afford it. Don't want to try a racquet if I can't buy 3 matched pairs right afterwards
I am perfectly happy with my blade V7s though, helps me focus on my game more and helped me move up the ranks recently

@krautfox - Completely understood, and more importantly, congrats on just settling on a stick that has helped you move the needle! Also, perhaps best to hold off anyways, as you know a price break is coming for the Tours, I would say by as soon as late summer.

May you guys share leading up the stick options? I somehow feel the stick lack stable and plow through. I strung it with hyper G 17 at 23kg.

Just bumping this thread in honor of this criminally-underrated frame (to which Lucas Pouille has recently switched back to from Babolat, no less).

I've been playing the 2019 100P's, in the search for a bit more free power and control than my Prestige MP-L's, and they deliver on both fronts, at least against slightly lower-level opponents. I've found against harder hitters, however, that the 2019's higher RA (a 66RA that plays more like a 67-68) and fairly minimal dwell time don't leave me much in the way of mid-shot timing adjustability, and I find myself and my flatter style over-hitting more often with the 100P than with flexier flatter-hitter frames like the MP-L (a 65RA that plays more like a 63).

This makes me curious to try the 2022 100P, which, at least on paper, looks as though it may offer more dwell time. Anyone who has played the 2019 and 2022 100P care to comment?
I have both versions. Staying with 2019 ones as main sticks. 2022 version feels less forgiving for mishit although definitely plush. It's became my backup practice racquet.

Similarly, I stopped playing the 100P because of that ‘hollow’ feel/sound. I had it strung up with NG at @55 and never felt the initial joy. Went back to the Pure Strike (which I love) and now the Clash 98, due to arm issues.

Based on the standard specs and various RW + MGR/I threads, this very much seemed the ideal racquet. Tried again this weekend against the ball machine to determine buy/sell and still no love.

The 2019 TT100P is one of those frames that really does need its recoil weight boosted for adequate comfort, including properly placed weight to minimize/eliminate that hollowness/buzzing, which is possible, but it just takes someone who knows how to customize and has the tools to do it, to maximize the comfort and performance level of the frame. I have mine spec'd up to ~345g, 31.1-.2 cm HL (~10pts HL) and ~327SW, ~173RW, ~20.8MGR/i

Long time user of the Head Microgel Prestige Pro, moved to the Pure Strike Gen3 16x, then to the 100P for about 6 months.

Now playing the Clash 98. Still love the PS but my arm/shoulder does not.

All racquets strung full bed with either NG or X1 BiPhase.

@Trip - I spent way more time than I should (or what my game warrants) in those RW / MGRI threads :) My specs are similar with a lighter static and less recoil weight

@Ombudsman - I hear you. As if it wasn't obvious, the average Joe/Jane shouldn't have to monkey around with RW/MGR/i just to get a playable enough frame for him/her. The '19 TT100P is a fit for some, not for most. The current 2022 ATS with the softer flex is probably a better anyways for a good portion of those who didn't like the 2019.

Sounds like Prince got it right the first time with the 2015 TeXtreme Tour 100P (Green) Tennisnerd is the only one to say the (WHITE LTD) had added graphite so it feels much stiffer. The 2019 is strait up too stiff. Gonna try the ATS version soon but my guess is the 2015 is the one. I just never can find one used that isn't shredded up from lots of use. What does that tell you? My two cents. I'm a 5.0 and own 2 White Ltd.'s with 5 grams of silicone in the handle. Someone have a 2015 in good shape with a 4 1/4 grip message me.

According to Tiffani of TW, the Wimbledon LTD is a 2015 with a paintjob. Since it was released well before 2019(even TennisNerd's own article is from June 2018), it is unlikely to be a new lay up from the 2015 version. TW as well as other sources spec the LTD at 62 RA as well.

The white edition is the same frame as the black and green, albeit weight distribution is more to the hoop so greater SW. Owned three of them and it’s apparent in all of them.

Huh. Interesting. The good thing when I got mine from the Racquet Guys in Canada was they measured a bunch for me so I could match them including the RA and I was lucky to get the two I had at 62 (I think that put them at 64 unstrung) Either way thanks for letting me know 3loudboys.

The SW looks off to me … the White feel like mid 320’s.

Hit with the Blade 100 v8 this weekend just gone and I was impressed by its performance. Very similar to the 100P but quicker through the air, slightly higher launch angle and more flex through the throat and hoop. Very tempted to get one for the bag. Anyone else compared the two? The Wilson felt more old school and that was comfortable for me.

I just wanted to drop in and express my appreciation for this wonderful racket. TT 100p (2019). I have been playing with ez98 2022 since it came out. Just recently been testing out some rackets… 5 years later its release this thing is still brilliant. I have to match strings and tension to make sure but I think it hits a bigger ball than ez98. Hits like a truck. Super stable with that high TW… I was taken back by the power a little bit but I think I can figure that out… I just have to get used to the racket a little bit. It demolishes serves too and works great with my OHBH. I guess a bit of an issue that the new ATS does not retain the stability with its lower SW…
