TT very slow

Hi, in the last week or so, the forum became extremely slow to respond.
I have to click a link twice for a page to load.
Clicking it once puts it in a long wait, wheel spinning.

Please fix. It's really annoying. Thank you.

PS. There's nothing wrong with my net connection. I have gigabit and all the other sites load instantly, including the US based ones. It's clearly a TT server problem.

Bogdan_TT,

We haven't noticed the slower speed on our end but I will pass along your feedback to the IT department to take a look at.

Thanks,
Brittany, TW

Rather than posting the same item many times, either wait or refresh before posting again. There can be many issues which can slow down data transfer, but most are either server or linkage response issues. 2 cents.

I do. Many posters however think their posts have not recorded properly so keep double or triple posting.

Whatever the nature of the problem, let's hope the Mods look into it and get it fixed soon.

Staff is asleep at the switch. It's really incredible, so many of us have reported bad problems and I don't think there has been one answer from someone who has any kind of responsibility.

It's the heavy visitor traffic most likely causing the issues. Come Monday, everything will be alright (I should write a song with that title)...

Yeah.... RIIIIIIGHT... Like we've never had heavy visitor traffic before. How about giving us some comparative figures!?!?!?

Nope, mikeler. There is some bug in the software that triggers from time to time. It will only go away when the admin restarts the server or Something like that. I wish they would find some work around.

During the women's match, there were not many posters, and yet it was too too slow.

This has been different. Features don't work, or didn't. Messages post, but you can't see it happen. That's why there are double and triple messages everywhere. Last time I tried I could not find a list of my own messages. Search function was not working.

I don't understand why we have not heard anything from one single person running the site. I'm assuming everyone was away for the weekend or on vacation.

They are having performance issues. I bet someone or something is running lots of searches against the database. I would limit searches against the forum to once a minute and see if that solves the problem.

I even sent an inmail on linkedin to their ceo Drew Munster when they switched to the new platform, he answered me quickly but nothing changed...

You folks want instant gratification! The server is slowing down again. Just refresh after posting to assure that the post went thru. It's a waste to post the same comments 2-4 times.

TT IT staff will eventually reset/reboot the server. Show a little patience. o_O
