No, but I actually know someone who learned to play tennis while they were in jail/prison.
lol, that does not seem like punishment... get housed/clothed/fed and play tennis all day? does the state do stringing too? sounds like paradise :p
well maybe line calls get tricky... given shanks and all that, but i bet folks would be more generous than "honest" usta folks :p

Haha. Not quite like that. I am not a liberty to give more details, though. If we meet up in person in the future I can tell you more.

Tennis skills are useful in the prison shower ... when you drop the soap, bend at the knees picking it up.

Hit with @PhxRacket tonight for a bit. Great guy and good hitting. To be honest, we played a points set, and I think he really let me back in, so I appreciate it. He hits services spots like nobody's biz and has silky control on groundies. Really enjoyable time

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a points set?

Absolute blast hitting with, and competing against @ChaelAZ last night. Thanks again.

Definitely down for a rematch, you played really well and kept it competitive. I like your forehand, you ran me around with it and didn't make many errors.

A feel good story ! Nice to see a top 10 list making a tennis play happen in the real world.

Who cares? Don't beat yourself up, all that matters is when the video will be up for us to make snarky comments.
Seriously though all that matters is that you played hard and had fun.
I'm no stranger to a whopping so no problems there. No video this time though, we were on the clock and had not time to setup video. Just played a couple of super tie breakers.

I guess I have no business dreaming about a standup comedy job one day. It was an attempted humor and hope I didn't offend you.

GOAT Jason Jung playing on tennis channel right now...

Just took out Tiafoe in handy fashion. Ain't anyone here at that level folks. Then again, that isn't a rec player either so if the list is just of mere mortal rec players, the lists are still valid.

This is a top 10 list of TTW posters who have played tennis with the highest number of other TTW posters.

I'm calling it the "I Ain't Afraid of Ya List" because this is a list of people who aren't afraid of meeting other people in real life and actually playing tennis with them.

To qualify for this list, please list the usernames of the other TTW people you have played tennis. if you didn't play but met up in person that is okay, too, if one of you was injured or can no longer play tennis.

I'll start with myself and the list off the top of my head.

1. @nytennisaddict : 16
2. @travlerajm : 15
3. @Shroud : 13
4. @navigator : 13
5. @onehandbh : 12 people on TTW (I know there are others I am missing, but these are the TTW posters whose usernames I can remember.)
6. @Pickle9 : 10
7. @BounceHitBounceHit : 7+
8. @ChaelAZ : 4
9. @MisterP : 3
10. @Topspin Shot : 3
11. @Bender : 2
@onehandbh , unknown TTW person.
12. @Dragy : 2
13. @PhxRacket : 1
?. @J011yroger : 10000 people on TTW ?
I'm sure people like @J011yroger and many of other TTW posters have played way more people than me.

As more people put their entries, I'll add them to this list and update the current rankings.

EXTRA bonus if you have actually hit with Vince Spadea or @LeeD.
IIRC, the unknown TTW user's username is @CodyZzZ

I know of at least three other guys who frequent the boards, but alas I do not know their usernames, and from what they've told me they are usually on the racquets / strings boards, and not Tips & Instructions

Funny — I’m at a resort in NH right now and all we can do is talk about how it is really nice but AZ was so much better. We will definitely be back and next time I’ll travel to your area.......

Zero for me. But I'm willing to hit. Just not a lot of players in my area. And I have to fast for two days before hitting.

Where's the resort? NH really isn't known for resorts unless you're talking about skiing?

There's the Mt Washington Hotel but that's really like stepping back in time.

It’s the Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle right outside of Portsmouth. Nice enough. But i live in CT and the woman I’m seeing is from N.H. so up in this area a lot. I’m going to the Mount Washington this fall or winter.

I've heard of it but have never been. I'll add it to my list.

Our taxes are a lot lower than CT.

Agree completely. If move to NH if I could. What part are you in? Also, happy to hit if your interested and our schedules work.

I'm in the Nashua area, about 50 minutes away from Portsmouth assuming no traffic.
