Hello, everyone - pleased to be doing my part in making watch party threads!

As you may know @HetTheGreaterer, @Yugram, @Atennisone and me have set up a watch party for everyone. We watch a stream of an agreed-upon match and live chat together on Telegram. The 8th edition will be set on Sunday, August 2 at 15:30 UTC. Hope to see you on Telegram!

FAQ courtesy of @Atennisone:
We chat together, banter, and watch a match together while we're missing tennis.

@HetTheGreaterer streams the pre-agreed upon matches over a public service, so no need for anyone to go looking for the matches.

The TTW Watch Party Committee takes input from its participants usually when a match or quiz ends, and then come up with 3-5 poll options of matches, and ttw will then be a way to vote for the match that is wished to be watched by those voters.

Yes, Het holds a quiz often the day after the watch party, and he gives out some rewards, the quiz is pretty fun, and does is independent from the match the day before. No need for too specialized tennis knowledge, anyone can win.

Come to whatever you're available for, please! We'd love to have you for either one you can make.

Show up for any amount of time you can, we love hearing from TTW regulars and TTW lurkers. All are welcome and brighten up the experience.

No, actually the chat is pretty calm. When we talk GOAT, it normally dies down pretty quickly and we get off topic or back to the match. :)

There is an app called Telegram, where you can create an account. Here it is recommended to use an alias just for the fun of it, but also if you are from TTW, it would make sense to have your TTW name, so we understand who you are in one sense.

"I don't trust Telegram"
If you don't trust Telegram, ask Het or Atennisone on how you can hide your telephone number, and please do this with hiding that telephone number anyway.

MATCH OPTIONS:

This edition there are 5 options

Option 1 - 2011 Roland Garros Semifinal - Djokovic v. Federer
An unstoppable Djokovic meets a Federer that refuses to lose! The winner gets to meet Nadal in the final!

Option 2 - 2012 Australian Open Quarterfinal - Nadal v. Berdych
High quality matchup between the King of Clay and the man who challenged him at Wimbledon 2010. The rematch!

Option 3 - 2005 US Open Quarterfinal - Agassi v. Blake
Wildcard James Blake goes toe to toe with the 8 time slam champion Andre Agassi - you'd expect a routine smackdown, but you get anything but!

Aging champion Agassi tries to meet longtime rival Sampras in the final of Wimbledon, but an Australian champ stands in his way! Who comes out on top?

Please vote, would love to have your input!
