TWE no longer ships Nike to the USA?

HI

I just tried to order Nike Vapor Pro Clay shoes on TWE and it says no shipping to no EU countries allowed ?

Is this correct?

Due to manufacturer's restrictions, certain items in your cart are not available for export outside of the European Economic Area.

I have several hundred $'s in TWE gift cards to specifically purchase Nike Clay shoes - bc Nike won't sell them in the USA

Thx for the help

That is not unheard of. There are manufacturers that won't let TW ship certain items out of the US.

While I have no proof, I believe the 'no shipping from Europe' is partly due to MAP (Minimum Advertised Pricing aka "price controlled"). MAP is illegal in Europe, so to get around it, manufacturers simply restrict where things may be shipped, which is not illegal. This prevents someone from buying a pair of shoes that are "price controlled" at $140 here, for say $90 in Europe. Even though you may pay a shipping fee of $25, it's still cheaper.

The Agassi-esque light grey denim 2-in-1s from the Aus Open a few years back were 50 bucks equivalent on TWE and still 90 on TW USA... MAP pricing is as bad as controlled liquor sales :p
