Twitter Wars: Lopez vs. Gimelstob

^Hahha, Gimel was assumed to be staff, so he acted like staff.
Poor guy. No love. Gotta get him back in the 90s on the UCLA campus -- that was his peak, socially.

Thanks for the visual, but it only reinforces your original point which I didn't argue. Yes, Lopez fits in well with female models because he is feminine, whereas Gasquet would not because he is not feminine. How does this place Lopez above Gasquet or Bolelli though? Not trying to grill you, just looking for honest feedback and looking for insight on the ways of media and PR.

I don't know why it is, it just is. When I was in high school I was rather feminine looking myself (to a certain extent, I still am) and girls basically threw themselves at me. I think part of it is the shaven look, which displays the jaw line, and shaving of the body displays the outline of the body. So, in a way, looking more feminine makes you look more masculine, if that makes any sense. That, plus men who put more effort into their appearance also portray a sense of importance and confidence. People that take pride in how they look have confidence in how they look, and confidence is one of the most attractive things to women. I could go on, but it's too much effort B)

Tl;dr: Lopez is sexy, Gasquet is not. C'est la vie.

I appreciate your angle, but I am not sure I agree with your analysis. Perhaps certain traits can be beneficial to a celebrity figure, in a Boy George kind of way. Put uncelebrity versions of Gasquet, Bolelli and Lopez at a party, and the first two are long gone with dream dates, while Lopez is still on his 8th scotch trying to convince himself that he is enjoying the company of the residual postmenopausal women and postmidlife men loitering the premises afterhours habitually.

Gimelstob being jealous yet again of someone who actually had a tennis career.

I observed a funny incident involving Gimelstob once. A fan got into the players area (at Queens Club) and approached Fernando Gonzalez for a picture. Gimelstob happened to be right there so the fan asked him to take the picture of the two of them, as he thought Gimelstob must be a member of staff or a trainer or something. JG got offended (I guess at not being recognised) and wouldn't take the picture and tried to to tell the fan to leave as they weren't allowed in that area. Gonzo and the fan just looked at him as if to say "what a dick" and Gonzo got someone else over to take the photo.
gimelstob should have asked the guy (the fan) to take a picture of him with gonzo... ;)
