Oh, found a better, live version...awesome vocals at the end, and evidently this was their last performance...

Wow. Takes a lot to blow me away - Beatles in Memphis 1966, Rutgar Hauer in Bladerunner, David Oistrakh gliding through Beethoven's violin concerto in D major, Kate Hepburn/Peter O'Toole's tour de force in The Lion in Winter - but this music definitely BLOWS ME AWAY. Such voices, such gothicness. Why did they break up?

BTW, the glittery one with the laurel crown reminds me of a certain tennis player I know. :)

P.S. I love Joan Jett; put another dime in the jukebox, baby. Always wanted to see a WWF grudge match between her and Billy Idol.

Think I'd bet on Joan.

.

The one with the crown was with the girl band Bananarama (very 'poppy' sounding chick band...remember 'Walk like and Egyptian'?), and formed this group on her own afterward...then the other gal came along, and they actually started to chart, especially in the UK. Evidently, not long after this last performance, the 'crown' gal checked herself into an institution for depression. Word is that the two gals were no longer speaking, either. When the girl left the institution the group was officially split up, though they both continue to make music on their own.

We have an Indie/Alt/Folk thread???!?!?!?!? Oy Vey, why wasn't I informed?

Two words you should all trust me on:

^^^I believe the word your looking for is 'dudette'. :)

And just how would I know that? Dude, to me, is fairly generic, as is "guys" when addressing a mixed group.

Whether Terr is from Mars or Venus, this person's musical taste is well developed. :)

I didn't think you would...just sharing a tidbit I've picked up elsewhere in the board. I also use 'dude' generically.
