Two handed backhand - backhand slice kombi

As i get older i tend to slice more from the bh wing.
If the ball is not in my comfort zone, it bounces higher, i have to reach forward or to the side, i rather slice it.
Schould it happens naturally or the switch slice - thbh -slice - thbh could be an issue?
I mean slice and thbh have another racket take back, a little different grip and i tend to be late with the prep.
Maybe i am not experienced enough what type of ball is coming to me.

I think onehander could have similer problem.

Thank you for your answer

I strive to play on the rise expecially with my thbh
I usually play on red clay - on fast courts high bounces are much less issues; on red clay the high slices seem to work decent

I teach a conti grip for both the Bh slice and the dominant hand for the 2h Bh. You are using something different?

Assuming you are nr the BL, you should change your grip while starting your prep (unit turn) as the ball is crossing the net so that you are already prepared by the time the ball crosses the service line. You should already know what type of Bh you plan to hit as the ball has crossed the net. Are you later than this?

My thbh grip is a bit more bh grip than my slice grip, i dont think it is more the problem, rather the racket take back is more different.
I will check when i start with my prep.

The reason that a majority of 2-handers employ a conti grip on the bottom hand is to allow the top hand to take on a more dominant role. For most who do this, the 2h Bh is similar to a classic (not modern) lefty Fh stroke.

If the bottom hand assumes an E Bh grip, then the stroke becomes more bottom hand dominant. It’s something of a 1h Bh with a moderate assist from the top hand.

My thbh grips are (about)
sw forehand grip
easter bh grip
My thbh is very much left hand forehand dominant

My thbh works with weaker bh grips too, (for example my thbh half volleys) but i feel at the baseline stronger bh grip more advantageos.
As i know Nalbandian uses similar grips

SystemicAnomaly (SA) gave good advice. I use a strong conti on the bottom hand (conti a little toward EBH but not full EBH) and a E/SW hybrid on the top hand (E toward SW). I hit a lot of slices too as well as topspin 2HBH. I drop the top hand on the slice and as SA said, I try to decide slice or top as quickly as possible and prep accordingly. Djokovic and Nadal use a strong conti on the bottom hand. If you are using a full EBH on the bottom hand, then it will require a grip change to conti to slice. You are going to have to decide quickly and prep accordingly to get the correct grip. Sometimes on return of serve, I decide before contact based on the quality of the server. On groundstrokes, I guess I decide slice or top based on the quality of the incoming ball as I prep - turn to the side.

The transition to slice as you get older happens naturally.

Yesterday i had a faster hitting partner.
I yousually hitted thbh but when i wanted to change it and slice i was late with the prep.
Not the grip change, the body turn for slice was difficoult.
Maybe i play less - once a week - than necessery for these improvements..

I strive the deeper incoming balls reply with thbh on the rise and the shorter incoming balls more with slice at the apex
