Two Handed Forehand-the Future of Tennis !!!

now say it with me everyone "Gregory Diamond's two handed forehand is the future of tennis!" in 10 years we'd all be saying where would pro tennis be if it werent for the great Gregory Diamond whose vision and pioneering efforts on Tennistalk paved the way for what is to become the golden age of tennis.

You have a bright future. Maybe you dont believe in what you say but if you repeat it many times your faith will strenghten.

You should agree but you should understand why you agree.
We all understand why we agree with you.
Two handed forehand wins because it allows to use legs.
One handed forehands use the legs as well.
One handed players after the stroke usually stay vertical.
Sometimes, yes. But they also jump and turn in the air when they hit open stance. When they hit with a square stance they do move forward.
Their legs stay where they were before the stroke.
No, they don't. They generally land in a different spot on the court, oftentimes facing a different way. They are in a very similar spot, but have turned with the body.
Nope. Not even close.

GD, we all agree with you and we all know why. It wouldn't have taken 800 posts for us to agree with you if you at least understood the obsolete one handed forehand. We all agree with you now, but it would've been so much faster were it not for all of your false statements like the ones I have pointed out above.

In tennis, Rafa initially hit two-handed on both sides and did it well. But how many top players are double handed both on forehand and backhand side? No many. So we had to fix something. We chose the best option, only after I figured out that Rafa does all the rest with the right.

Check out what Toni Nadal says about two handed forehand.

It was a great mistake of Nadal. He would have won much more grand slams if he still used two handed forehand. Maybe he used stiff two handed forehand. Most people who tried two handed forehand usually chose stiff version and they were not comfortable with it. If I say "stiff" it means that they held left hand tight in the beginning of the stroke. This kind of two handed forehand is played similar to two handed backhand and is worse than two handed backhand because of shortened reach. My two handed forehand is in the first phase played the same as one handed forehand but just before the stroke I tighten left hand. It is the best stroke in the history of tennis. There is no doubt.

One handed forehand has been dead for over 25 years. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic were taught their forehands over 25 years ago. Since then there has been no progress in technique of one handed forehand. We shouldnt talk about dead technique. We should talk about modern two handed forehand. I mean about my two handed forehand. My forehand is a compilation of the best two handed forehands of Seles, Bartoli, Hradecka and Peng. I tried to copy forehand of Peng Shuai but it didnt work for me. So I took the best parts of all two handed forehands and now Gregory Diamond`s two handed forehand is the best in the world. It is the future of tennis what we all established before.

I'm not denying that your forehand is the GOAT. I'm just saying you could've convinced us in much less time and fewer posts and threads if you at least understood the obsolete one handed forehand first. Know your enemy and you will know yourself.

Like, as somebody has said, a donkey? :)
It is older summer version. Better version is in last videos(indoor). My two handed forehand is better and better. On Friday I play with this big guy(Champion of Poland in +50 category from 2017) with very fast forehand. It will be real test of new forehand. He hits very flat and low and I have just solved my problem with low balls.

Your forehand still needs to be tested?!?!?!?!? I thought you have already proven that it is the GOAT of all forehands and is invincible. Do I detect some doubts here? Because I don't. You have converted me already and I believe a million times that you're gonna win this match. There's no doubt about it.

Two handed forehand is not dead . It is still an open stroke. Some details can be improved but even now it works excellently. It will be difficult to win this match because on fast surfaces he accelerates the balls to the speed when my injured right wrist is too weak to block them. But now when I bend my knees more it will be easier for me than before. Nobody in Poland in older categories(+50,+55) plays faster forehands than him. If I could compete with him on fast surfaces it would mean that I could be in top 50 in ITF ranking in my category. That is what I am going to achieve next year.

Excuses, excuses!

I win almost all matches because I know my strengths and weaknesses. Though it is not enough. I have to know strengths and weaknesses of my opponent too. I try to choose tactics amplifying my advantages and hiding my limits. I am not the best player in the world though my two handed forehand and two handed backhand are technically near the top. Whoever would have more strength and copied my technique would achieve great success in tennis. If it works for an injured person it would work for a healthy one even better. This technique is tested in many tournaments.

Please stop using this statement which has very poor logic. I have already given you examples of how the same exact logic doesn't work in other situations proving that the logic is faulty. You have already convinced everyone your forehand is the future. Using this "logic" is just going to get us to change our minds.

You have a weakness? You are not the best player in the world? And you expect me to copy you?

I was an adoring Federer fan for the longest time but I just recently dumped him because you have proved with such brilliant logic that his strokes are crap and that yours is the future. But you just admitted that you have a weakness! How can that be? I gave Federer up to follow you! But your are weak?

You cant change your mind because we aleady established that two handed forehand is the future of tennis. It would be a shame if after 823 posts we havent established anything. Somebody might claim that it was a thoughtless waste of time. Now we are all in it so we should work together. I can compromise and agree that one handed forehand is not completely dead. That some kinds of one handed forehand can be used for some time. But only to the moment when I`ll find the best possible two handed forehand. I warn you that this moment in not in a distant future.

Guys, there's a ray of hope here. GD is indeed softening up. Don't let up. Another 823 posts and he just might....

Of course I am modest. My comments are the best proof. I dont write that I am the best player or that my technique is the best. I only write that my technique is near the top. Modesty is obvious. You cant even imagine what I would write if I was not modest. If I said the truth.
OK let's dispense with modesty for a brief moment. What is the truth? C'mon don't be shy GD. We are all grownups here. We can handle the truth.

I think that my two handed forehand (particularly last version) differs significantly from what everybody expected when they imagined two handed forehand. There is a long swing. Even longer than in two handed backhand and longer than in so called modern ATP forehand. In the first phase it is played exactly as one handed forehand. Just before the stroke left hand is used. You can use it more or less so left hand only may help. Left hand gives stability. But if you want you may use it to generate more topspin. If you have to return fast serve left hand can help to block fast ball. The only cost of using left hand is shortened reach. About 20 cm. But you can play much greater angles and you can hide the direction to the last moment so your opponent have a problem with the reach because average ball is not 20 cm but very often several meters from him farther than it would be if he played against one handed player. It is funny because the main problem one handed player has playing with two handed player is the reach. Exactly opposite than everybody think. Just watch my videos. I dont run a lot. Usually my opponents run from one corner to another.

This is the ramblings and useless musings of a mediocre recreational tennis player. You're not gonna impress people with this litany of detail. I want to hear what makes GD great. I want you to overwhelm us with the TRUTH that you said you've been keeping from us out of modesty. The truth will set you free. Free us from the burden of one hand forehands and backhands.

I have studied two handed forehand for many years. I created completely new technique. You cant find any other player using my two handed forehand. It is two handed forehand with the longest swing. That is why it is the future of tennis. It has everything what one handed forehand has and gives new possibilities. We cant be surprised that I win almost everything. Two handed forehand gives me great advantage.

For most people two handed forehand is a great chance. Particularly if you are not extremely strong it is your only chance to play tennis on really high level in your age category. You all cant even imagine how stable two handed forehand is. You can forget about unforced errors. You can play where you want even from unstable positions and in most stressful situations. I played one handed forehand for years so I can compare both forehands. Even if you like your one handed forehand having another weapon only can help. Then you can treat two handed forehand the same as volley or smash. You would use it when it is effective.

If since the beginning of May I have won 40 matches in tournaments on national level and lost only 3 it means that I played almost only against worse players. It is one thing I could agree with you.
Isn’t copying and pasting the same text all over again a reason to get banned? Admins?

Also, GD I finally see your point. You base all your statements on fighting again modern forehand. What’s funny, you have no idea what a modern forehand even looks like not to mention the mechanics. So unfortunately everything you say is useless, I kinda feel sorry for you. It must very frustrating, because you really believe you’re right..

We seem to be the only ones left here GD :) Is it possible that the others have gotten tired of you? How can they be when you're so much fun.
Now they are practicing two handed forehand. A lot of people reads this thread and dont write comments. A lot of them already tried to test two handed forehand. After watching my videos it is obvious that two handed forehand for many people can be better than one handed forehand. Here is a link to my channel on youtube. There are over 110 videos. You can see how my forehand was changing.

I even win everything. Modern one handed forehands couldnt help my opponents.
If two handed forehand is so bad then why it is so good ?

Hey, I've been doing that too but just shadow swings in my living room for now. Yeah, it's cool except that I don't get any benefits at all. Just problems. So far I've hit some balls off our christmas tree, decapitated one of the shepherds' head in our nativity set and made a deep gouge on my newish immaculate racquet. Which makes me think that this stroke is nothing but crap - no control at all. How GD does it escapes me.

EDIT: Wifey wants me to send you a bill for damages...

It is not my fault. Probably you dont have proper grip. Right hand western grip(not semi western) and left hand between continental and semi western. And left hand should be over the end of right forefinger. It is very important. If left hand is even 1 cm closer to the head of the racket two handed forehand is stiff and ineffective.

Ah I think it was that 1 cm difference. Jeez...

If reading this thread and watching my videos you havent tried two handed forehand it would mean that you cant be taken seriously. The only argument against two handed forehand was that the reach is shortened. In my forehand there is longer swing than in modern one handed forehand. In a short time the head of the racket moves 2 meters forward during the stroke. But if you want you can use very short swing because two hands can block approaching fast ball and absorb a large part of the energy of the ball. In my forehand right hand does almost all work. If your right hand is very strong then left had can be used almost only to direct precisely the racket at the ball. Most people think that left hand is used to accelerate the racket. It can help but it is not the main task of left hand. Stabilizing and directing the racket precisely at the ball are much more important.

The only argument against two handed forehand was that the reach is shortened.
And slower racquet head speed which equates to less spin and power. And the fact that it is biomechanically awkward and not natural for most people.
In my forehand there is longer swing than in modern one handed forehand.
Not based on your videos.
But if you want you can use very short swing because two hands can block approaching fast ball and absorb a large part of the energy of the ball.
You can do that with one hand as well.
In my forehand right hand does almost all work.
In my forehand my hand does very little work. The rest of my body does way more than my right hand.
Stabilizing and directing the racket precisely at the ball are much more important.
But what if you don't have an issue with that with one hand? Then what's the purpose of the second hand?

In modern forehand the racket is not taken back. Racket stays on the right side and when the player begins to move his hand forward there is lag and snap. The swing is very short. Most modern forehands are played from open stance what shortens the swing even more. We see Federer who lately plays most forehands almost like half volleys. Stability doesnt equal stability. Stability is only a word. You cant compare stability of one handed forehand to stability of two handed forehand. Two handed forehand is much more stable. It means that you can engage much more of your strength without losing control. It is particularly important when you play important points. That is why I win almost everything.

Which ATP tournaments have you won? Which grand slam have you won?
I would have won a lot of grand slams but organizers didnt send an invitation. They were afraid of my two handed forehand. I want to play in Austaralian open and now I am waiting for a wild card. I dont understand why they havent sent it yet. Maybe you know.

Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Sampras, Agassi, ...........never beat in the final of grand slam a player who used two handed forehand. It means something. Two handed forehand so far has never been beaten in the final of grand slam in men`s tennis. It proves that it is the future of tennis.
