I got my hands onto three LM rads MP, two from one vendor and one from another, and they seem to be different. One has light grey buttcap with silvery bottom, no trapdoor, the ridge for the grommets ends in a rectangular shape, and the finish of the hoop seems more matty or at least less glossy. The other two have black buttcap, with light grey bottom and black trapdoor, the grommet ridges end in a rounded shape, and the overall finish seems more glossy. Maybe the glossiness is just a thing of wear, as the least glossy seems a little more battered, although all three are very well conserved.
The head shape also seems more elongated or thin for the light grey buttcap one, maybe because it's strung at 55 lbs while the other is 48-50 and the stick is pretty soft (at least it feels so)?
So, were there like different versions of the LM rad MP on different years or something? The buttcap thing I don't find that confusing, but changing the shape of the grommet ridge means a different mold I guess... Maybe they were manufactured at different factories? Like China and Austria or something? I thought by the time the LM family came out, all rackets were already made in China...
Or is it that one of the two versions is a fake?
I can try to provide pics if necessary.
