Two versus one-piece stringing for Prince O3 Tour

The Prince 03 Tour can be strung as a one-piece or two-piece job but the two-piece is preferred by Prince according to their website printout. How would you all string the O3 Tour if someone wanted a full job of a single string type (e.g. Cyberflash 17 on both mains and crosses)? Would you do it as a one-piece or two-piece? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Either is fine. If using one piece, make sure you read the frame. It indicates clearly which side is the short side.

I like the 03 frames because everything is marked on the frame perfectly for an easy one-piece job. You might have trouble finding places to tie things off with a two-piece. When I was looking at patterns, I didn't see anything about Prince recommending that.

Go one-piece!

Yes. The stringing instructions for the O3 Tour from the Prince website state that the two-piece is the recommended pattern but the one-piece is another option.

I'll string these rqts 1 piece but with a slight difference, I strung the long side on the (indicated) short side so that when I do the short side I run it along the top cross. The long side continues on to the crosseses whereby the long side's 1st cross is the 2nd cross form the top.

This can also help if you want to string the rqt 1 piece but you started to string it the wrong way round. If you have enough string on the short side just run it along the top cross.

The only word of warning is that you'll need a starting clamp to hold the top cross in place until either a clamp becomes free and you can tie it off as normal, or you've finished the rest of the crosses and tied-off at the throat. You'd then have to go back clamp the top string and then tie-off as normal.
