TWU string comparison - how is it measured

Hey there!

Does anybody know, how TWU tests strings for tension maintenance and friction. I'm wondering, because I found, there are some strange results.

As an example - tension maintenance
Solinco Revolution 16L (1.25) = 28
Solinco Revolution 16 = 47
Solinco Revolution 17 = 50
Solinco Revolution 18 (1.16) = 29

Also spin potential is sometimes wildly different for different gauges of the same string.
And: In german "Tennis Magazin" there was a string test in 2014, which tested Solinco Tour Bite to be one of the best strings regarding tension maintenance, but in TWUs comparison tool it looks pretty bad.
So, any idea, what's the reason for all of this?

And: Why do some strings have values for some categories but in others it says n/a?

Cheers, Lukas

Shoot TW an email, I have in the past and they're responsive. Overall, I've seen plenty of examples like yours with unpredictable trends in tension maintenance.

I will try that, thanks.
Yeah, this was just an example but I've also noticed it on other strings as well.
