I think he's pretty happy not going to America, and I was sure he was never going, but cancelling the French would make him livid. There is however a crisis beyond his control.

What if the USO happens, then the FO gets cancelled? That would really put a twist in Nadal's knickers ...

The double is Djokovic's to lose in all probability, but we need to see who returns to form after the break.

There is no guarantee Rafa wins RG, granted he will be the heavy favorite.

Players like Djoker have been well-rested for months and very capable of physically playing two slams in a month... Rafas nightmare scenario is The Djoker pulling the upset and winning both slams.

Still can't believe the defending champion Rafa is choosing not to show up. He may be watching too much CNN fearmongering.

Britain built penal colonies 'to colonise'. You see the answer is in the words themselves. As the land was cleared, the free settlers arrived. And, look, no slaves!

They had it half right. No need to colonize.
We should develop an uninhabited island and banish all prisoners there.

Rafa was never going to play the USO this year for reasons that many posters articulated earlier in this thread. His focus will always be the European Clay Tournaments. And no doubt he understands the possibility the French Open could be called off this year. C'est la vie !!!

I love the fact Rafa is most loyal to his favourite surface and his favourite tournament. The French Open and Wimbledon really are the Crown jewels of world tennis. Everything else is secondary to those two competitions.

And therein lies you lack of understanding. Australia has been inhabited by human beings for at least 45,000 years. There is some suggestion the current indigenous Australians arrived here 60,000 years ago. And there are some scientists who believe there was human habitation in north western Australia 100,000 years ago.

I guess you are one of those who believes the North American continent was not inhabited by anyone prior to 1620 too.
