U.S. Open Roof?

interesting article up on www.tennisweek.com about the possibility of a roof at ashe or other courts there...very expensive proposition...some talk of making it a multi-sport facility...unfortunately this was not thought out well at the beginning...should have been smaller with better, more unique design, and a roof at the inception....although i'm one who is getting concerned with all the indoor slam tennis that seems to be headed our way...get ready for indoor grass tennis at wimbledon this year, remember?

I'm all for the roofs, as long as they only use them when the weather is keeping play from happening. It will good for the sport when huge Wimbledon matches don't get sidelined because of a little drizzle.

This is the problem with a giant tennis facility like BJK, it gets used for for what they were meant for 2 weeks out of the year, and then you have find other stuff to pay the rent.

and i guess rg can hold off on roof because they play through some rain there....although i thought i remember hearing during last year's broadcast that they'd like a new facility/complex there as well...if they did it maybe they'd put the roof on center/chatrier anyway
