Two straight loss in UFC! Poor Ben Asken. Should of stayed in ONE! He said he made a mistake in that the third round at 3:54 when he got a rear naked choke apply to him when was on his stomach. I think he was winning the bout too! The two loss was memorable too. 1st was a 5 second flying knee knockout and this. He is going drop to the bottom now in the welterweight division. Big Asken fan but this is very bad for Ben!
Well he had a gameplan for the first 2 rounds. Strike and then secure a TD with one minute left. In the 3rd Maia was looking tired and Askren went to wrestle early in the round. Maia got the sweep and submission. I do think Askren would've won if he stuck to his gameplan from the first 2 rounds. But he didn't look like a title contender either. Usman and Colby I think would annhilate him.

Ben maybe needs a new coach but he must not give up
He is good

I also scored it for Blagoi. Really close though.
Lewis wasnt pushing enough to justify the takedown differential. Blagoi also had him 3 times in submissions, so the takedowns were effective.

Lewis was also whiffing alot, i just dont see it.

This fight is kind of boring

I don’t

Bet big $ on Colby over usman
Ya i got that one as well.

Tony has fought ham and eggers so far. He fought dos anos and petitte 4 yrs after they were good.

Look at his list of fights, those guys arent even on mains cards. 155 has like no one in it, granpa aldo and frankie are top 5 LOL.

I have the russian, much more disiplined.

Tony has obliterated eveyone into a bloody pulp and he is 36
His wrestling and Bjj is high high level and his striking is insane
He can go 25 min with full intensify

This will be his first big fight, someone who is also on a massive winning streak.

I see his street fighting boxing, willing to take a punch. Russia is much smarter than that.

Id like to see him and max debate, LOL

I'm glad this thread wasn't riddled with Diaz jock hugging. There were people saying the fight was stopped too early and that if you have watched a Nate Diaz fight you know he was going to come on strong in rounds 4 and 5 and win. As far as I know he has only fought two 5 rounders and lost both by decision. So these people are trying to convince me his gameplan was to get hit in the face repeatedly get is eye split so bad as Dana said afterward it was folded over, but somehow finish a fight in the 4th and 5th despite never being able to before. If that was the gameplan he probably needs a new coach. That doesn't take away that guy is tough as heck, a gamer, entertaining and all that. But he got beat, and if there is rematch we will see how that one plays out.

Not the worst stoppage of all time, but the fans booing Jorge in that moment was ridiculous.

It was a very forgettable PPV. 245 looks decent, though

I think it got so much heat because it was supposed to be a "BMF" fight. A cut above the eye is usually stopped if the fighter cant see, Diaz was fine

I get tony and max mixed up :(
Tony was originally going to fight Max for the interim LW belt but he turned it down (didn't want to fight for another interim belt) and Poirier stepped in.

That's how Poirier ended up fighting for the title. It's a shame because I think Tony would have run through Max quite easily.

Stay classy NY

“I’m a very good neurologist and a very good doctor, and calling me f---ing scum online and calling my office staff and yelling at them, threatening me, I fear for my health and safety,” Sethi told MMA Fighting. “Somebody’s going to get hurt, and it’s probably going to be me this time.”

Thats not just a cut and its above the eye.

So which is it? You seem to be contradicting yourself.
In reguards to blood. He was fine because the blood was dripping to the outside over the big hump. If it were into the eye (cut on inside) he wouldnt of been fine.

I just saw this picture, that is a large chunk of skin missing, not a slice. Nate could of have continued, but my opinion is changing.

Also read he has a net worth of 8million!!!
