Gasquet in general is tough to look at.

Ugliest strokes in tennis. title. Imma start it off strong. IMO, Shapovalov groundstrokes are the ugliest things I’ve ever seen. I start to spasm when I see his ugly ass OHBH, it’s a thing science cannot explain. And his forehand doesn’t look like a forehand, it looks like a broken windshield wiper. What are your ugliest strokes in tennis :D

edit: might I just add all Leftie OHBH in my opinion are hard to look at, but I’m sure Shapovalov is a nice guy. When he’s not trying to assassinate umpires.
This is so crazy! I love his outlandish strokes! They are ... different and beauty is in the eye of the beholder haha

Never understood that. Probably like my dad saying when we eat Asian and I eat w chopsticks (a bit for fun). “Why are you doing that? We invented the fork, much better”
He is a traditionalist who has not come to terms with the changes, that tennis has undergone. Because he can not return tennis to its original form, at least he write salty posts about the current form of tennis.

Brad Gilbert’s forehand always looked awkward to me.
This might me sacrilege, (I am a fan) but I have always thought Federer’s forehand was odd looking. Especially on the run.

I like Wawrinka’s serve. It’s like pure old man strength. No knee bend, no shoulder turn, no elegant kinetic chain. Looks like he’s gonna patty-cake it like some weekend warrior at the local park and then bam – 130 mph right past you.

Saw him live from close by and yes that serve packs some punch.

Don't get salty because your hero swings like he's holding a club instead of a racquet, I've disliked the paddle shot since Connors was hurting our eyes with it.

It's just an ugly shot. Smearing anyone who points that out may make you feel better, but it doesn't change the fact.

This might be sacrilege but I think Sampras backhand and forehand both look a bit weird. Not the most elegant shots. They look a bit forced, as if his racquet is too heavy and he's really having to muscle the racquet around.

IMO a lot of classic one handed backhands from the 70’s onwards look really odd, probably because they don’t have to take full strokes players do now? Idk

I really liked Pete. But you're right. It always looked like he was pushing the ball. And I agree that it was probably because his racket was just so heavy that he had to muscle the ball. It just goes to show that you can be a great player with poor technique on your groundstrokes.

Saw them both play live. Was a huge fan of Mecir, depite him clubbing that ugly paddle shot like he was killing baby seals.

His backhand was one of the most beautiful backhands the game has seen - smooth, compact, elegant, wonderfully deceptive. To each their own I guess...

p.s. how does one kill baby seals?:cry:

Tiafoe, Paire, Medvedev, Sock all have very unconventional shots.

Wawrinka and Kohli have nice looking service motion.

The two handed BH can be generally more ugly looking (Roddick, Kyrgios, Cilic, Raonic ) than one handed, but Nalbandian, Djokovic, Nishikori make up for it.

I'd add Paire to that
Gorgeous backhand

All Nadal game for me.
That added to up his grunting and antics makes him disgusting to watch.
Antics? I’d love to hear what kind of “antics” Nadal does, besides having a certain serve preparation he does.
