unclamping when pulling crosses?

Rookie
So I have a fixed clamp, lockout machine. So here is a scenario, Im stringing the crosses: I pull tension on one string then clamp the string, then go to the next string and pull the tension.. so heres where my question comes in.. should I unclamp the last clamp string before clamping the newly pulled string, or should I leave the last string clamped, and clamp the new one? does it matter?

Hope this makes sense. Thanks, Ryan

On a glide bar machine like the Neos, you don't really have a choice as you are only using one clamp for the crosses.
On a swivel clamp machine you have to leapfrog the clamps because you can't use the same one for the other side.
I don't think it makes much difference other than being able to backtrack if you make a mistake.

this is correct. on neos or such machine you have to unclamp and clamp while holding tension. on electronic you can use the previous clamp before the last one. hope this makes sense
