Unfamiliar Austrian made Racquet "AMF Head Ace Mid". Anyone heard of it?

I bought this from a thrift store last week for $4.98. It reminds me of the Head Graphite Edge series from the early 1980's - in size and shape. I have not hit with it yet. Can anyone shed some light on this frame? I found another one on the big auction site, but it has different paint and graphics (kind of a light metallic blue) compared to the glossy black paint on mine.

Obligatory Pics......

Gotta love 80,s head sticks man- I’m never surprised anymore to see ones I’ve never seen before . I think I’ve finally seen every variant of my fave 80’s head line .the graphite pro molds. As far as I know there are 5 different models of that mold . Possibly more .this one pictured looks like the edge series which I am not well versed in .
Anyone know if the Ace mid is the same mold as the head edge? Or is this ace mid a different mold?
I’m curious too on this :)

For the Graphite Pro mould off the top of my head...

Graphite Pro
Open Plus
Lady Pro
Comp Pro
Club Pro
Tour Pro
Pro SE
Team Pro
Leconte (maybe?)

There must be at least 10 more.

Pretty sure that Leconte would have played with the Head Special Edition before he moved to the Prestige.

I mean there is a Leconte junior model. I think it's the same mould but shorter. I could be wrong.
I do remember an edition of the French Tennis Magazine where they were doing racquets reviews, around 1985, and the Head Special Edition Pro received top marks. They mentioned that it was Leconte's racquet of choice. If you look at pictures of him around that period (85-86), it appears to be that very model, which is brown-ish with gold accents. It was Head's top of the line model, at the time, being a 100% graphite frame.

I have a Special Edition Pro and that isn't it in the photo. The Pro series came out in 1986. That is the Comfort Edge in the photo. In 1986 Leconte was using the brown Prestige Pro.

USA version Pro special edition came in red blue here state side hits just like the head team pro almost as good as the club pro :) but mine was too evenly balanced
Lecinte evolution was a JR 25.5 inch frame blue . It was a moph between the prestige , Electra pro , graphite pro and elite pro .
pro SE was really flexy and the leconte JR was a 51ra but played stiffer .
Had one extended and gave it to a long time prestige lover the real prestige classic red model . He loved the leconte more said it was a tad lighter more user friendly softer version of the prestige . Go figure . I remember putting a full cap grommet system on it and it looked quite impressive and modern after that :) really did hit well but ended up being 11.5 oz strung too heavy for my tastes . And too head heavy . Personally but he loved them and is always trying to get more :) they are delicate as they came factory bumperless and I’ve seen some walls of the channel cave in.. best to find them still with the stencil almost guaranteed they were never restrung !

Leconte came in two shades of blue and 2 different molds. The euro mold had more of a pro graphite mold especially in the top part of the handle .

I stand corrected. It does look more like the Comfort Edge in the picture I posted. Mind, the graphics are fairly similar between the Special edition and the Comfort Edge. I have to find that old issue of Tennis Magazine. Must be in the garage at my parents' house...

Vs corrects everybody it’s what he does man. He is a wealth of knowledge I’ve never seen anything like it . He either has a thesorauraus on hand or he has a photo graphic memory either or. Pure genius . Should be in the business or maybe he used to be on the head team back in the day . Circa 1982 to 1995?
