Uniqlo US Open

I'm not sure I liked it, but that's because of this montage. Let's wait and see the retail version and on court.

Kei kit: incredible. Hoping it's available at retail here but not likely. Will most likely use freight forwarding from Japan.

Federer kit: not a fan of the Henley neck done in such a "bold style". Not sure how Uniqlo has pulled this off, but they have managed to make a plain black outfit look "busy" by using 3 different piping styles / weights on the one outfit. Doesn't work for me.

Two stripes on the shirts. There are also nice red accents on sleeves and collar.

Hey, I work there as a supervisor, they’re always clueless about the tennis stuff, we usually get them a week before the grand slams. So it’ll either be on sale next Friday or the one right after

Hey thank you so much! Yes I usually go to buy the items after I see them announced online and often when I get there (5th ave store) certain items are already sold out and they say they’ve been up for over a week lol. It’s so confusing how they launch.

Do you know if any of the accessories will be sold ? Sweat suits ?

Again, it’s because they don’t care about the tennis. So it’s only advertised once it’s out but it’s poor advertisement, accessories that are sold are usually socks and wristbands for both players, but for nishikori they usually sell his wristbands and hat online though. I’m hoping they sell Federer’s headband this time

Hi, in which country are you operating? Also, could you tell what quantities from each outfit (Federer and Nishi) you are receiving? Do they plan on selling other casual T-shirts different from the GO Roger ones? Thanks.

So I operate actually in the soho location which is in Manhattan, so one of the flagship stores that actually offer the collections. I would be able to tell, usually it’s around 200-300 per item. At the moment I don’t know the actual quantity amount, I can probably find out either Tuesday or Wednesday. As far as other casual shirts, I did hear they might be selling a regular cotton practice type shirt that has the us open court on it. Not 100% sure how valid that is but I can definitely update when I know more !

If Fed loses I am blaming the shirt along with the ventilation at the tournament. Looks like there will be two stripes stitched in across his traps, shoulders, and arms, which will not be very comfortable once fatigue steps in. Though I am a stickler for these sorts of things. Can someone at Uniqlo get this fixed? If they make the shirts more comfortable, it may help the players. Does Federer help design his own kits? Maybe the pros get better fabric quality or something. I don't know much about clothes.

So you say what is comfortable and what is not, then go on to say "I don't know much about clothes". Keep your opinion in your head, if fed loses it's cause he played a bad match or the opponent played better. Blaming it on clothes in possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard

Because I have tried on these Uniqlo shirts and they are not comfortable when there is stitching across body parts. I don't know much about clothes, as in I am not an expert on whether changing fabric quality would make the shirt more comfortable. I will do what I please with my opinion.

I agree, but only the nishikori ones have big stitchings across chest making it uncomfortable, the federer ones are clean and comfortable

I thought that you are joking, but it looks like you are being serious. OK. I just pulled out about half a dozen of my extremely comfortable Lacoste shirts (including some that were not available widely and were used by certain sponsored players) to look what kind of seams they have as I have never felt even slight discomfort wearing them. Guess what?

No, I was half-joking with the first statement. But I don't like how the other guy insulted me, saying to keep my opinions in my head. I do think the ventilation at the tournament will be the main enemy for Federer. And I wasn't denying that other companies have comfortable stitching, that is why I mentioned fabric quality.

Edit: first statement of my initial post in this thread, not the one you quoted

I agree that I can't stand the stitching underneath shirts to make a pattern on top. Super annoying.

As is evident in the above picture while the shorts have what would be deemed as two stripes, the shirt has only one stripe visible and so is a mismatch with the shirt; whether or not there is another non-paired stripe visible on the other side of the shirt is inconsequential.
(Please note @Tennis_Hands that you have been reported for being repetitively confrontational and inflammatory to myself and others; having apologized once this time I'll leave it up to the moderators to decide what to do.

Looking at some pictures on another site, there may be a version of the shorts with only one, or separate lines of piping, as per the shirt; this is apparently a much better match.
