Are you referring to the PENN practice balls? God they are awful. I wasted $10 on a bag of those. Those balls MIGHT be okay for serves. But for rallies, forget it. They bounce too low and you can't get much topspin on them. LOUSY balls!
Try Gamma permanent pressure balls. I bought a bunch of them for practice and although I don't have a lot of use on them, they seems pretty good, at least when new.

If you're talking about the Gamma 48 Bucket-o-Balls, I bought a bucket and don't like them. They may bounce OK but they feel too soft for ground strokes.
The Unique PLBs have terrible naps. They wear out very quickly and what's worse is that they don't wear out evenly. They look absolutely hideous after a few weeks of use. Plus they feel much harder than regular pressurized balls.
However, I disagree with your statement regarding its bounce. While they bounce no differently from other PLBs when new, Unique PLBs that I use have gotten much bouncier than my other ones when they become bald. I have Wilson pressurless balls in the hopper and their bounce don't compare to Unique.
Well I use the unique and you can't beat the price. My ball machine holds 300 and some of the pricier balls are twice the cost of unique. In fact, I purchased the unique because someone else said they were a good ball. Now I don't have much experience using pressureless balls but so far they have held up nicely. I play around 4 days a week 2 hours at a time and so far no problems. They are quite hard and I believe have put more of a strain on my elbow which isn't good but I don't think Im going to change at this time.
