The sureshs can rejoice as UTR is now into the pickle!

Starting in early 2023, you’ll have one home for all of your pickleball and tennis needs, including tournaments, matchplay, draws, results, schedules, statistics, player profiles, ratings, and more. You’ll enjoy more local, level-based play, track your progress, and grow your community for tennis and/or pickleball. Players will be able to select seeing both their UTR Rating and pickleball rating, or choose only one of the sports.​

Man! I hope this fails.

The Tennis Channel commentators are *terrible*. They think pickleball is some form of "junior tennis" and they speak about strategy, positioning and movement as if they're remarking on tennis.

Pickleball is its own game and the strategies and tactics (in Dubs) are much different. Pickleball Singles is "close" to tennis singles, but even it is different.

The powers that be in tennis think they will cash-in on the popularity of pickleball. I think they'll ruin pickleball if they gain any form of control.
