Unrealistic Nadal

Don't get ahead of yourself, gentleman. One match at a time and better not think about 21-0. It could even be 15-1 after this Saturday.
It makes no difference whether we already lock in the 21-0 or not, just as Nadal probably enjoys hyping up his favorite football team before they play.
The fan is in a completely different situation to the player, so only the player should "take it one match at a time".
I was celebrating Nadal's 2022 AO victory long before he won it, so I had a lot more celebration time than the fan who thought about losing every match.... that fan suffered pretty bad during the AO.

Had you celebrated his 2021 RG "victory" long before he won it as you were utterly confident about his chances there last year with your deleted nickname here? Where were you right after he was knocked out of RG '21? And now you're here teaching me how to be a Rafan?

I'm not thinking about him losing every match and I think none of his fans actually are. I've watched enough of his (bad or unfortunate) losses which followed his decent winning streaks to conclude that getting cocky and ahead of myself as his fan is no good by any means. Better be realistic since he could win or lose the next match; we sure hope he will win but should understand that there's always a chance he won't.

Well losing 1 match going into clay is always a special start, so whatever rafa is doing is amazing, he will lose eventually but one thing I am sure the victory against him has to be earned it will not come easy

It's all about being humble... You'd think that's at least one thing Rafa would've taught us all

You live in your own little fantasy land, why not try some facts for a change?

I deleted my nickname here (in December 2021) because somebody stole my account on MTF and used violent and bad language, thereby lowering "myself" to the level of others.
My name was disgraced by someone else, so I changed all my online accounts (including my email address) to deliberate23stranger.
Firstly I asked a Talk Tennis moderator if my name could be changed, but they said it wasn't allowed, and that I must re-register.

Unlike you, I enjoyed and celebrated 2021 Roland Garros. That is the problem with your approach.... you don't enjoy the journey, because a loss is always hanging over every match in your mind....
I don't even consider losing, so I celebrate every tournament, and there is nothing cocky about that.
It is 100% realistic to expect a Nadal victory every time, and to never expect a Nadal loss.

Something tells me Nadal is not so humble about his favorite soccer team..... because fans are not supposed to be humble, fans are supposed to be fanatical.
You can be humble about yourself (as I'm humble about myself), and it has nothing to do with how much you think your favorite player will win.

You can see in the Indian Wells thread..... 28 people expect Nadal to win (aka none of those 28 people expect Nadal to lose), while only 4 people expect Medvedev to win-

There's absolutely no way to prove or even remotely evaluate what you've inferred, so this is basically just projecting.

I guess we should agree to disagree, my approach is to enjoy uncertainty and celebrate good fortune, while trying to be cordial and not overly provocative. I just don't want to see members of my own fanbase behave in the same way some of the Djokovic fanbase was behaving last year, but obviously I can't stop anyone from doing anything.

However, before we drop this, I want to make it perfectly clear that I absolutely do not condone telling someone else how to be a fan and treating them poorly when they are trying to be humble.

That's what makes this so pathetic.... being humble has nothing to do with how much you talk up the chances of your favorite player.
Likewise, if Nadal said he expected his favorite football team to win every match, would you suddenly say he's not humble? :-D
Nadal is not the football team, so nothing he says about that team will define his level of humility.

Nadal fans like dapchai are definitely the biggest downers, that's for sure, Nadal is 15-0 and they're talking about 15-1 :-D pathetic.
If only we could ban all the negative Nadal fans, then winning would be so much more enjoyable here.
Please don't say foul words for anyone, gentleman.
Kindly also rate beckerserve on the scale of 1 to 10.

I think you missed my point...

You are right, Rafa is a passionate football fan. He gets emotional during the matches of his favourite team (Real Madrid), expecting them to win, not to lose.
Rafa watches the match between Real Madrid and Manchester City (an English football club) in Madrid in Sept.2012:

Not sure why you guys have begun to take NadalALOT seriously lol.
We all hoped that that troll could humble himself down after what happened in 2021, but that's a false hope... Maybe that user is actually a Nadal's hater who tries to gloat every time in an offensive way.

I wonder who are these "we all" who never hope Rafa wins.

Rafa is a passionate guy, and he's at least this passionate on the tennis court as well. Therefore, this doesn't prove he behaves arrogantly about his favorite team or try to demean other fans...

Of course, Rafa doesn't behave arrogantly because passionately rooting and cheering for the favourite team doesn't mean behaving 'arrogantly.'

As for 'demeaning other fans', in this thread, some posters demean those who have believed and believe in Rafa.

You misunderstood my post and then cheated readers again (lol). And you and NadalALOT were the ones quoting me first in this thread. My last reply to you.
You are cheating readers, I was the 6th poster to quote your post, and that's what I quoted:
