I have a Gamma Progression tabletop that I got years ago, that still works very well.
I've discovered I can upgrade the mounting to 6-point quick mounts. I've never really had any problem with the current 2-point mount, but have seen the frames I string deform (and then reform with the cross strings) at times. I've never cracked a frame on the stringer.
Question is, is it worth the $$ to upgrade to a 6-point mount? To put it in perspective, it would cost roughly the equivalent of 9 sets of my current strings
I think the answer is "if it's not broke, don't fix it", but I'd be interested in learning any benefits of 6-point mounting systems of which I may not be aware.
