As much as I'd love to see him win, he had trouble with a guy I've never even heard of last night. So unless he really picks it up, I don't see him making it past the Quarters.
Probably the case. Still worth the price of admission for me on the strength of that BH, alone. Other side of the draw has a buttload of good stories. I give them real shots this go-round.

Loool, good joke I'm guessing Delpo is immune to this?

That is because the big guy kills Novak with his kindness. :)

It will be 2 in the morning where I am before I get to watch any night session tennis.

Damn that sucks! I thought you were in the US. I'm getting old not sure I can wait till gone midnight to watch Rafa but I guess it is Friday so...

Novak gives people the evil eye and they crumble.

2011 USO, Niland wins one game then retires against Novak in the 1st round.

In the QFs, Novak splits two TBs in the first two sets, then bagels Tipsarevic who is getting bageled again in set 4 and retires.

If was in US, I would be in California, which would be ideal, but I currently live in Ukraine so it is a struggle for me, since I am in pre-contest mode right now and training for some bodybuilding and fitness shows this fall. So, not really getting much chance to watch right now.

2014 AO:

Golubev retires to Wawrinka, 1st round.

Walk over Pospisil in 3rd round, Wawrinka wins the slam.

Seems to be pretty rare. There are som 5 round wins at the AO earlier, but that's because of fewer rounds....

Ahh harsh dude, well good luck with the training and the shows

The worst.

Still bummed about that one.

Thanks, and I prefer harsh. ;)

It's my final season competing, competing in Vegas end of this month, then a string of shows, and finally retiring in Buenos Aires in December. Done it long enough, so going hard to finish strong with no regrets. :)

Janowicz, mental break.
Vesely, walk over.
Youzhny, retired.

What can we expect from Edmund in the next round? I predict disqualification by an unsportsmanlike conduct during the match.
The fact that he gets Edmund and not Isner is insane. Is Sock going to be his QF opponent now too?

True, he gets lucky again not because he gets the lesser player but also he doesn't get a serve bot. We all know Novak doesn't like them. Had trouble with big and strong guys like Karlovic, Anderson, Delpo.
