Hello Everyone,

This will be my first time going to the US Open. I will depart from CA on the 8th and go to the finals. I'm looking at tickets online and see a seat I want for $317. Is this price normal for promenade 321? Thanks.

Which site are you looking it on? I bought from Stubhub a ticket to the postponed Monday Fed - del Po final in the promenade area and it was just over $100.

$317 seems a little steep for promenade, but I imagine this is not the face value of the ticket, as the final was sold out a long time ago, so you will have to pay a premium to get a ticket.

I have tickets to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the opening week, can't wait! :)

Expect a monday final too :)

Only a bit over 100? Wow. I'm looking on vividtickets and the cheapest ones on stubhub are around 170 + tax and fees. But the cheapest seats are from a side view, not like the view on TV. Would the side and corner seats still be good? Thanks.

Seany,

The ticket is not the actual value. Actual price would be around 80, but I wasn't sure if I was going back in June, so I guess I have to pay the price. :(

If it means anything, the ticketholders were probably desperate to sell a ticket for a Monday match they couldn't go to.

Personally, the nosebleeds seats are ok, you can enjoythe match without binoculars:) I go to the USO every year but that final I was desperate to see, two of my favorites, plus the experience of watching a final.

^^ Lucky you! Did you sit at the side seats or the seats that give you the view like from TV? At this point, I'm just buying the cheapest ticket I could find. Can't really care too much about where I want to sit now. I see some for 170 + tax + service fees, which come out to around 220.

In this vid on the 1 minute mark, on the upper right of the screen you will see a concrete structure/building ( where the 'snipers" are stationed :), I was next to that. The other side of the stadium doesn't have that structure, it's just a scoreboard IIRC. So to answer your question, my view was more or less like the TV , just waaaaay higher LOL.

That's not a bad view! Originally that's where I wanted to sit, but the tickets I saw were 246, and after tax + service fees + shipping, it came out to be 317, so that was out of my budget. Guess I have to stick to the side seats. :(
