I see John Mcenroe still doing his hype the number one up by comparing them to legends schtict. OK we get it Djokovic has good defense, you don't have to keep saing "Agassi Agassi Agassi" like it's Beetlejuice every freaking sentence.

Lopez top 20 with that backhand. LOL at this era.

It makes you wonder, like gee wiz, if I had his serve I could totally be a professional player. I mean really I feel like my forehand and backhand are pretty good, the only thing that I need in my game is a great serve.

Game, set, boredom.
I was wondering yesterday. Rafa and Djoker (to a less extent admittedly) play some of the best athletic defensive tennis? I'm not saying their games are the same but what differences make u enjoy watching Rafa but bored with Djoker? Not trolling, legit curious.

i'm having a hard time staying awake to begin with, cos i'm sick as a dog. lopez isn't helping matters.

it's nice to see ellesse on the court again. but i freakin' hate lopez's shoes.

For those in search of alternative entertainment tonight, may I suggest Le gamin au velo, a masterpiece from arguably some of the most cinematically creative directors, the Dardenne Brothers.

Nadal is way more dynamic and generally has more exciting matches. I like watching Novak when he actually has competition, it just hasn't been the case in the past year.

Lopez simply doesn't know what next to do after he hits the slice. When Federer uses slices against Djokovic, he expects a short or a non-offensive ball which he can attack with the forehand. Feliciano, on the other hand, is absolutely clueless.

Well his slice isn't that good, so it usually doesn't produce a weaker reply, especialy from someone like Djokovic.

He's really, really good. I can give him that. He just never has to do much to win and its old.

Nadal didn't have to do much to win all those clay matches and titles when he was dominating that surface. I'm sure you still enjoyed watching him then. ;)

Not trollin', but we're all biased in some way.

i think sometimes people don't like looking at their own reflection in the mirror.

personally, they bore me for the same reason. because they stand waaaaayy behind the baseline content to get every ball back. same with murray. so the matches aren't strategic, they're marathons. if anything, djoker is less dull because he has less loopy topspin, stands a little closer to the baseline, and can be more aggressive/hit more winners if he chooses. but they haven't done the sport much of a favor.

I never claimed not to be, you asked a question, I gave an answer. No need to be holier than thou when I already know we'll all be biased to our favorites. At least unlike a certain Ultron fan I can admit Djokovic is good as hell regardless. You couldn't pull a Rafa compliment out of him with a wrench.

Djokovic is gonna lose his sh** soon with the crowd. They're hardly cheering for his points and every single one won by Lopez is greeted with loud cheers.

Nadal is nothing close to robotic.

Gotta back @Djokovic2011 on this one, man. Regardless how you (or anybody) feel about Nadal's game not being "robotic" or whatever, his clay court matches have been pretty boring for anyone that's not a massive fan of his, for the better part of 10 years now. WAY WAY more predictable than any Djokovic match at the USO or on any HC, that's for sure

Too easy to put words in anyone's mouth. Shall i quote all your sexy posts admitting the same about how the tour isn't all that strong right now? Delicious.
Relax you two ;p

Agree that Djoker needs a Rival like Fed-Rafa

I'm talking about his point construction, not about the quality (which is above Fed's, for sure) of his slice. He simply hits it and waits (for what?).

Not since Djokovic began challenging him hard on clay since 2011! Before that yeah probably from 2007-2010 especialy.

I didn't ask you the question, you must have me confused with some other Ultron fan.

I don't particularly like Rafa in general but he was damn good in his prime days and I always LOVED his "banana shots" on the run. He has been involved in some epic and entertaining matches.

Also, I was even being all that serious (you might be though?), hence the wink smilie. ;) You're a good poster, man.

I think he should come into the net off it more often. Maybe he is waiting for a shorter ball off it to hit a big forehand though, and from Djokovic they don't come often.

Just imagine how we felt from 2005-2014 on clay. Could not bear the time between Miami and Halle. Every time be hopeful when a Almagro or Ferrer get to 5-4 in the deciding set, only to choke.

You come back when Novak is still winning in 2021.
