Why do you care? If Djokovic had won more USOs, Nadal would be at 12 Slams.

He lost alot of USO titles early on to Fed that he very well could have won.. Not just against Nadal. He blew the one in 2012 vs. Murray as well.

1 USO title is weird when you see he has 5 AO titles. Big discrepancy there. The courts aren't THAT Much different either as they were before

Wish Nole would let up on all the HC tournaments before the USO. Seems like every year his level is not what it SHOULD Be at Flushing. Its cost him some USO titles too. 1 USO title is not good for someone the caliber of Nole on HC's. He should have 3-4 by now

he lost early last year in 3R at montreal to tsonga and in 3R at cincy to robredo ... didn't help him at the USO

I don't know why Johnny Mac was complaining about people walking out of the stadium. It's almost midnight in New York and it's a weeknight. It's not disrespect, people have lives to get to.
Euh what kind of stupid people want to walk out on watching #1 play live? Not tennis fans for sure... They can sleep tomorrow.

If anything, he should be happy he even has one, seeing as how close he was to losing that match against Federer.

I agree ...he should've had 4 AOs ( got lucky to win AO 2008 due to fed's mono )

he should've had 3 USOs - should've won USO 2012 vs murray and USO 13 vs nadal....

;)

People who have jobs and school? People for whom tennis is just a sport they love and not their entire being.
Then they don't deserve to have tickets. Subway runs all night in NY. Totally agree with JohnnyMac.

ETA: on top of that, the match is going pretty fast...

Hes a better player in Australia than Federer. Why would you consider him lucky to beat Fed there?

And thats what makes this weird. Why is he so much better in Australia vs. Flushing where there courts aren't that different. I would guess overloading his schedule. He should minimize it more after Wimbledon

Djokovic got lucky at the 2013 AO. Wawrinka was screwed on a pivotal point with a bad call.

ETA2: if they wanted to go to bed early, why did they get tickets for the NIGHT SESSION? Give me a break. Night session is already much shorter than day...

because federer had mono and would've beat him otherwise in 2008 ...2008 was still part of fed's prime, unlike after 2010 and after ....

Nole's won more AOs than federer due to being lucky there ;)

No offense, but spoken like someone who doesn't have a job, a family or any kind of responsibility. Just because people have to get to bed or get home to their kids on a weeknight doesn't mean they don't deserve tickets. Maybe there were hoping both matches would be done before midnight. That or they were just hoping to see as much as they could.

I thought you had a greater perspective than this vero. I'm surprised.

It is the NIGHT SESSION for god's sake. It's supposed to end late. And yes, I have a family and and a job but if I go to the USO NIGHT SESSION, I don't walk out after 1 set. That's a shame.

Nole's won more AOs than federer due to being lucky there ;)

Nole hasn't got to sidestep anyone in Australia. Hes faced and beaten the best the tour has had to offer for years. =

only after federer's prime ....and barely escaped murray, nadal in 12 and stan in 13 ...was lucky this year while throwing in a stinker in the SF vs stan as well ....

without mono, fed would be having 5 AOs and novak 4 ......;)

getting serious ,

Nole's been lucky at the AO and unlucky at the USO ...that's it , so stop whining ...

You lay out the facts well.

Yeah but the crowd doesn't control how long the matches go. It's not their fault if only one set of this match is done by the time they have to leave. It's unfortunate, yes, but most of them probably don't have the luxury of staying until it's done.

That's real life for you. If everyone who had a job, kids, families or whatever didn't get night session tickets during the week, we'd barely see anyone there. As it is, the stands are still mostly full. There's just a few people here and there that have to get going. It's not a crime.

It's their rights to leave. Tennis is for entertainment. If they don't see the entertainment, they'll leave. There's no need to force themself to sit because the no.1 player is playing.

It's their right to throw their money out the window but it's still a shame.

Isn't rebound ace significantly different. Lower bouncing I believe.

I don't know man a lot of lines don't run really late, and I wouldn't want to be riding around on the subway past 2.

Err, I'm all for an underdog upset or at least a competitive match, but this is a bit gross. Very little crowd involvement or excitement and poor play all around. Ugh, finish this up Djokovic. I'm trying to fight my way out of an infinite recursion, and this match in the background is not helping me stay awake.
