It's also a shame to be a jerk and judge others based on one's standard.
So what are you doing judging MY standard? Start applying your lofty ideals to yourself... I'll think whatever I want. They're lucky enough to have tickets, they should show some respect to the players and I'm entitled to that opinion.

... And they call me a troll. :) Go figure. Hahah

Djokovic has been like this since last year and that's why I said I sense some decline. He used to absolutely dominate his opponents but nowadays he loses sets and shows some signs of fatigue, etc. What he does better than before, however, is to grind out wins in smart fashion. I think other players should step up and raise their level, then they can push these old guys out and take their places. I think 2016 may be the year where new players start to replace the old dogs at the top 10.

Its gonna be tough for anyone to beat Nole in a best of 5 even if he isn't playing peak tennis. He just wears you out. Kind of like how Nadal used to be.

He plays best when he's interested.

He is not interested.

It's nowhere near 2. It's hardly past midnight lol.

Vero, seriously, people have lives. They got tickets for a night of fun at Arthur Ashe and stayed for as long as they could but now they have to get home for whatever reason. The world doesn't revolve around these tennis players.

I think we're seeing this with all the top guys in general. They're FINALLY starting to get pushed.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. No biggie.

We've been saying that for quite a few years now though. I don't expect anyone to surpass Nole for another 2 years anyways. I don't know about next year.

These kids just don't have the drive or focus to get or maintain any type of domination. Its why grandad Fed is #2, Murray still staying near the top despite his level being suspect, and Nole's possible current decline.

It is the NIGHT SESSION for god's sake. It's supposed to end late. And yes, I have a family and and a job but if I go to the USO NIGHT SESSION, I don't walk out after 1 set. That's a shame.

So everyone else should also do the same? Should everyone else also have thousands of posts here? Stop being an ass and judging people - they are the ones who make the USO and any other tournament possible, because they PAID.

Contrasting opinions, and I think 2016 will be a year of some changes in men's tennis. Djokovic looks good for no. 1 in 2016 indeed, but it will be much closer, I think. For the moment, let's see if Feli can take another set off Nole. I think he can do it if he ups his serving.

Well if the shoe fits, you have to embrace it. Clowneration of Clowns was well received, but just title is trolling:
"make a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them." Keep them coming. Show your knowledge.

wawa only showed up not the man

Nadal would lose in straights as Lopez is very different to get any consistency with that booming serve, sliced backhands and topspin FH.

There arent many that play like Lopez but he tires quickly, aged and heavy weight vs marathon flexible hacker = no chance at night & more so

I didn't watch the AO this year. Why was that match bad?
Complete mess on both sides. Nobody wanted to win, no rhythm, tons of errors, stupid line calls, horrible level of play...

All in all the crappiest five setter I've seen in years. This match would have to get a bit worse in the fifth set to be in contention though.

My point is that if you have kids, or work the next morning it's best not to push it. Let's be honest the majority of people who are at the Open aren't gigantic tennis fans
What are they then, football fans??? Come on now, the tickets are not that cheap... But yeah probably a lot of fans of Williams sisters out there, they're American after all.

That sucks, especially in comparison to their other AO encounters.

Either way, I don't think this match is too, too bad. Then again, maybe my standards are low.

If Cilic recovers from 5 set fatigue, Nole can be in trouble :(

A lot of the time I know people who just go because their company bought tickets, or their friend's had tickets and couldn't go. Also, the US Open is just entertainment to many people it's not really about the tennis, it's about the experience, and it's something to do. Some people are tennis fans but not to the extent most forum members are. I saw a guy all rafa'd out in gear and he asked me who the tall guy (Ivo Karlovic) serving was during a practice, even after I told him he didn't know who he was. Another fan didn't know who Berdych was either.
