If it weren't for this guy, Djokovic would be trying to get to 22 consecutive Slam SFs in this USO... Or maybe even the CYGS

Is that just a general observation or do you have a point? I could say something like that in relation to Nadal and Federer as well.

Must be 90's again is it? Man, that guy just doesn't stop. He's like the Energizer Bunny.

This was his post- "COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great win Nole!!!! Get that 2nd USO title"

Now imagine if Federer had lost a set to Bautista Agut!

It would honestly be refreshing to have a stretch of four or five seasons, like 2000-2003, with some fresh faces and actual parity in the field.

2003 was a great year! My favourite player of all time, Agassi, blitzed his way to the Australian Open title, then we saw 3 different players from what was then the young generation win their first Slams: Ferrero, Federer and Roddick. I especially remember being thrilled for Ferrero because I was gutted when he lost in the final the previous year to Costa.

Wow, memories...

The heavyweight champion gets through a tough match. Three more to go.

Well, the whole draw is a joke. Djokovic will face Cilic/Tsonga and Federer faces Isner, then Berdych and afterwards Wawrinka or Murray.

Okay, if Cilic appears in last year's Semifinal form, Djokovic will get blasted off the court, but let's be honest, that was a once in a lifetime performance.

That performance is overrated really, if Cilic plays the same tennis he played in the semi of last year, Djokovic will not "get blasted off the court" anyway...Cilic would win in 5 yes, not in straights.

What do you mean? I missed the Fed-Kohl match, Fed looked bad? If so, then I disagree, Djokovic didn't look bad against Bautista.
Just mean that Nole should be the favourite to win the tournament, but given this performance, I just don't see it.
Likewise with Federer, except he's not a favourite but it's more like "if he wants to win" he has to up his level, a lot.

Disagree then, I thought Djokovic played very well, except some points here and there when he screwed up at the net but overall very good level IMO.

Yes, Djokovic weathered the 1.5 sets that Bautista-Agut was in the zone rather well, and it was hard to see the latter keeping it up. ...but it is painful to watch Djokovic go to the net, and I cringe every time. He is just so useless up there; it's got to be a key to beating him. He's rock solid everywhere else.

Bautista-Agut almost "Fogninied" Djokovic last night but Djokovic was just too tough and refused to allow it to happen.

Good match. Fantastic match. Dokovic playing well. Forehand good. Good sign. Agut played fantastic. Played alot like seppi. On fire blasting forehands. Very stan like. Djokovic has faced 3 on fire opponents in a row now. Tough match for anyone Agut when he plays like this wanted that match last night bad.
