Here's a far draw for Roger:

R1: Qualifier
R2: Ryan Harrison
R3: Donald Young
R4: Bernard Tomic
QF: Gasquet
SF: Goffin
Final: Nishikori

Works for me! And consider that this draw is about on par with what Nadal had at the USO 2017.

And Federer did too, but even this kind of draw was too tough for him.

Nadal played del potro who is not as big a pigeon to big3 as nishikori

Projected fair draw for Federer

R1: Tiafoe
R2: Rublev
R3: Basilashvili
R4: Khachanov
QF: Medvedev
SF: Thiem
F: Joe Kovic

No big deal considering faster courts, no? :)

Here's a fair draw that idiotic Federinas want :

1st round Federer vs Qualifier
2nd round Fed vs Qualifier
3rd round Fed vs Qualifier
4th round Fed vs Qualifier
Q. Fed vs Qualifier
Sf. Fed vs Qualifier
F. Fed vs Wozniacki

Yeah right.

Tiafoe/Youhzny/Lopez/Kohli/Delpo is the same as Lajovic/Daniel/Mayer/Dolgo/Rublev?

Nadal faced the same Del Potro in semifinals and beat him. And yeah, I have no doubt the likes of Lopez and Kohlschreiber would be extremely dangerous opponents for Nadal.

All players had easy draw in USO 2017. And anyway, don't forget I was replying to a troll.

All of that under the roof, with better ventilation, during the night session and after opponent will run 10 km because Fed is old and speed is unfair advantage.

All the sugar coating in the world can't justify that draw lol.

Do you want me to look up how many titles the guys in Fed's draw have compared to Rafa's? I don't think you want me to do that.
What kind of joke is that? Who cares how many titles they won? Trust me, in 2017 itself none of them won much. Using your logic I can say Nadal beat Federer in RG 2019, the player with most slam titles ever. That never stopped Federer fans from calling Nadal's RG 2019 draw a joke.

"easy draws" are the ones rigged pre-tournament. not nadal's fault that his us open 2017 draw collapsed before him because of tankerer.
he could have had
1r) lajovic
2r) daniel
3r) gasquet
4r) fognini/berdych (both defeated him recently at gs)
qf) dimitrov (pushed him to an epic 5 setter recently at gs)
sf) federer
f) cilic

I repeat-EVERYBODY had easy draws in that tournament. Anderson's path to the final was even easier. But of course when we have the most unbalanced draw ever at USO 2018 (Nadal has all the tough opponents, Djokovic has an absolute cakewalk) nobody says a word. Because Federer fans like Djokovic more than Nadal. :-D :-D :-D :-D

I like Nadal more than Djokovic, so that's not true.

@True Fanerer By the way, Rublev has more wins over Federer than Youzhny, Lopez and Kohlschreiber combined.

I know that happens, but to be honest this is a very funny stat.
What's the age difference though? It should be this way, in fact they should never play each other.

Think about this. Sampras never played Djokovic, and they are the same age difference as Rublev and Fed...

I know, but this stat is still funny. Youzhny, Lopez and Kohlschreiber (and also Ferrer) are truly pathetic against Federer.

And? In 2017 they all were in decline. Nadal also wasn't as bad as in 2014-2015 when he was losing to Lopez. Now, if it was 2006 Youzhny you could have a point. 2017? Nah. ;)

Del Potro defeats Federer, Nadal defeats Del Potro

Nadal defeats Anderson, Anderson defeats Federer at WIMBLEDON

Fed devotees: "muh easy draw!"

:-D

But the back in 2017! The wrist in 2018!

Federer undefeated when not injured, it’s not windy, not humid, not hot and not on clay, no?

And when he doesn't blow two championship points on his own serve because... reasons 8-B

All losers except for Delpo and maybe Tiafoe who was inspired and actually played a decent match.

The Tiafoe match was an interesting one..... Frances played brilliantly, without luck, but ultimately Federer was the better player on the bigger points and a deserving winner.

After the match, a lot of us came out of it thinking, "He got through, but Roger is in trouble".

I really think from a physical standpoint, the US Open is the event that shows that he is just a step off Djokovic and Nadal in terms of what he can do physical within a single point - ie explosive Ness and agility.

But in terms of endurance, Federer remains physically unbelievable, and we have seen that recently in New York. He can still best players who are more explosive than him if he can make the play more about endurance (The Monfils match is a good example).

"Maestro blew two championship points on his own serve at Wimbledon and lost to Nole, but at least Bull has lost finals in his career as well!"

Where do we pin this in the stages of grief process for fed devotees? :-D 8-B
